Our favourite place to stay in Wollombi, we’ve now stayed twice at Gypsy Willows - both in The House and The Villa and both times have been exceptional. So much care has been put into creating the perfect getaway for guests. Jim is a wonderful host also.
We’ve stayed at two of the other well known properties in Wollombi but nothing compares to Gypsy Willows!

Gypsy Willows was an incredible place to stay! The rooms were spacious and impeccably clean upon arrival. All the facilities were in perfect order, and the owners were exceptionally friendly. I highly recommend it. The open-plan living area with a wood fire heater was a lovely touch. The beds were incredibly comfortable with fresh, clean sheets. Plus, having our very own pool for a swim was a fantastic bonus.

Speaking of the owners, our host was exceptionally kind. They allowed us an early check-in and a late checkout until 3:30 PM at no extra cost. This place truly has it all, just like others have said. If you're looking to unwind and relax, Gypsy Willows in Wollombi, NSW is the perfect spot!

Another wonderful stay here at Gypsy! Didn’t want to leave. Just fabulous accommodation. Beautifully clean, luxurious beds and the pool is perfect. Watching the Kangaroos and horses in the field below at dawn and dusk a highlight. Thanks again Jim, The Korbers

Gypsy Willows House is perched on a rise like a hawk on a fencepost. It surveys the valley below, a green bowl rimmed with blue hills. The field outside was gold in the late sun, and a mob of kangaroos grazed there, their long shadows stretching across the grass.

I sat on the deck, a glass of something cold sweating in my hand. The air dry and warm, smelling of sun and earth. The kangaroos moved like ghosts, silent and graceful. A pair of horses grazed in the corner of the field, their manes catching the fire of the setting sun.

I give the experience five stars.

I booked 2 nights at the Villa at Gypsy Willows for my daughter and her partner and baby on a cold August weekend for their wedding at Wollombi Church. Our family has ties to the area and my daughter and son-in-law wanted a country picnic wedding.The property was perfect in every way. The outlook was stunning - outside areas were sunny and protected, and the house was spacious and quiet, but cosy and friendly at the same time. Thank you for giving my daughter such a treat for this special occasion. The host was easy to contact and helpful in every way.

I cannot fault Gypsy Willows; both it’s Main House and nearby Villa is ‘by far’ the BEST quality accommodation in the Hunter Region.

It surpasses top range hotels in terms of luxury fittings, furniture, bedding, appliances, kitchenware and importantly the cleanest place we have stayed at, far and wide - and we have stayed in quite a few places. The 270 degree vista you wake to will soothe your soul with a cuppa and the stilled essences of nature. The pool is a heavenly touch in a paradise countryside. Gardens are well kept and so pretty. It’s also quiet and remote - there is nobody around (although the owners are not too far away if you do need them, just text, which is a comfort to know) and therefore you have that sense of wildlife, rugged nature in a 5 star luxury place which would be, in my view, impossible to match in this area and beyond. The main house is largest, with three bedrooms and the villa is enormous really, for two bedrooms and is more than big enough for two and maybe even one more. They both have wrap around balconies and that ‘magic of serenity’. There is a reason we keep returning. One cannot put a price on tranquility, views and luxury details.

Gypsy Willow is superbly situated with a pretty outlook over the paddocks and valley.The house is immaculately clean and well designed.
The host is a gentleman.We very much enjoyed our stay and will be returning.

WOW! We loved our time here. The house is spotless, really modern furnishings but with a homely, cosy feel. Everything you could possibly need in the kitchen including generous breakfast supplies. The plunge pool was perfect on the hot days, and feeding the pet horses in the field was a highlight. We will definitely come back!

We are return customers to this little piece of Paradise. Well designed, luxury appointed accommodation, located in such a beautiful setting and close to Wollombi Village. Our hosts could not have been more accommodating. Highly recommended.

Such a beautiful place, with a beautiful view and peaceful setting. The villa was better than we expected, so well cared for. And the pool was a major bonus.

Wollombi is one place I love dearly and Gypsy Willows just topped it off. There is the house with 3 bedrooms each having their own bathrooms and a main bathroom for guests, so no one goes through to your bedroom. Open plan living space with a wood fire heater. Very clean and the beds are so comfy with clean fresh sheets. Plus your very own pool for you to enjoy a swim in. How good is that 🙂.
The Villa is a 2 bedroom with each bedroom again having its own shower & toilet. Open living with a wood fire place. Very clean with the most comfy beds and fresh crisp clean sheets. Now Gypsy Willows doesn’t offer a fruit platter, cheese platter or even a bottle of wine to go with a meat platter on arrival. No, but what it does offer is the best places for you to stay in at Wollombi at a affordable price. The owners want you to be able to enjoy a bit of luxury at a affordable price. Talking about the owners, your host is a very nice person. This place has it all like others do. So unwind & relax at Gypsy Willows in Wollombi NSW ♥♥♥

Gypsy Willows is a spectacular haven that my husband and I love going to. From the lovely views to the cosy fire place and pool, it has it all.

A splash of luxury in the Hunter, a great place to stay with family and friends. The house had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.
