Priceless, loved and will definitely be back. Camping right by the river, amenities spotless and easy to find. Life is good relaxing with my Bulldog Bundi. Great to kayak, throw a line in, heaps of good bait. A short walk to the beach. Dog friendly and not one poop left anywhere to step in.

I love this little place, everyone is friendly, food is good at the club and the park and its facilities are always clean. I stay in my camper so don't know about the rooms but have never heard anyone complain.
The access to the dog friendly beach is convenient.
I wish I could get there more often

Absolutely love this place, if you fish, swim, surf, stand up paddle board, its all there, or you can go to the bowling club right next door. Clean amenities and everyone you meet has a smile on their face.

A great holiday park right next to the beautiful Hat Head beach. Very busy on weekends even during off season. Winds can really rip through the park so choose your site carefully. Do the Korogoro walk, well worth the effort.

Staff are sensational! We booked for 3 nights, until our dog did her acl galloping along the dunes, so we left a day early. "No worries, we will give you a credit for your next visit." Wow! I was only advising the staff or our departure, and happy to leave it at that. We shall most definitely be back.
The park itself is delightful, and well kept.
VERY dog friendly....so many dogs of all shapes and sizes. It was great to see when it says "dog friendly" it doesn't mean, "dog friendly only to dogs under 10kgs."
Thank you all.

I have camped here many times and thoroughly enjoyed the park. The amenities have been upgraded and the facilities at the boat launching ramp have recently also been hugely upgraded via government grants. The current staff are friendly and helpful. Sites are generally roomy and the surroundings are just perfect for families especially with the creek safe for toddlers and the beach patrolled in peak season and mostly a safe surf.

We have stayed here twice, both times camping next to the creek. At high tide it is beautiful, take the kayaks for a paddle in crystal clear water, and we were joined by dolphins. The beach is beautiful and was an easy walk from our site. There is also the most stunning scenery from the bush walk up around the headland. The amenities were clean and staff friendly. Best of all.. it is dog friendly!

We paddled up Korogoro Creek, up past the bridge into the National Park. Was a very pleasant surprise. Little disturbance from man and all his nasty add ons.
Just on high tide. We were escorted by white bellied sea Eagles and grey herons. A particularly nice experience.

We camped in our camp trailer
Large sites, beautiful location clean shower, toilet amenities. Camp kitchen sml but clean large fridge and microwave lots of bbq.
Plenty of wild life to see.
Local shops have minimal limited grocery supplies. Nearest town half an hour away if you need to go shopping so do so before you arrive. Otherwise, you may find not everything is available from the little village of hatthead.
Bread delivery daily and local Butcher supplies meat to stores local bowling club cold beer and food.
On none peak season the 2 food vans run on weekends only coffee van 7am to 12 pm and fast food van 12pm till 7pm.

Fantastic van park, with amazing staff, who go the extra mile to keep their visitors happy! I so enjoyed staying here in my Maui van on a powered site. The amenities were clean as were the sites, which were nestled amongst trees or backing onto a lovely tidal river which joined the beach a little further on. Lots of walking trails, either along the river, up to higher ground, or to the beach. The beach itself, was so lovely and clean, perfect for fishing, swimming or surfing. The southern end of the beach was sheltered so perfect for a little snorkelling, if that's your thing!
There is even a small bowling club in walking distance from your site, which I'm told, serves great meals. I would definitely recommend to all, and revisit if I get the chance! 🌷
Update: 9/9/22
I did come back! My family stayed in the cabins near the bridge, overlooking the creek, and it was just as lovely and enjoyable as it was first time around! Clean, well equipped and roomy, the cabins and their location were excellent. Thanks friendly, wonderful staff for looking after us. 🌺

Fabulous location, the caravan sites are large and the staff friendly and helpful. They allow open fires (with conditions) and firewood can be delivered to your site. Great fishing, walking trails and kayaking and the caravan park gives you access to the Beach and the river. Loving our stay here. The sites at the far end of the park give you better beach and river access. There are three amenity blocks and a coffee van located near the entry and office.
