The General Hat Head

Paul and the team provide great service.

The store is well stocked and competitively priced with a wide variety of fresh bread and produce, meat, grocery items, alcohol and all the bits and pieces you need for your beach holiday; fishing gear, board wax and leashes, zinc cream etc.

The General is a welcome addition to Hat Head and the shopfront and interior makeover are excellent, much better than the old, disused ‘green shop’.

Stopped at Hat Head for a swim and then some ice creams for the kids at The General. Great variety, shop was clean and staff were friendly.
Such a great little asset for the township and for the tourists, we will certainly be stopping in again soon.

To the staff member Grant… you are a legend. Helped me out with a phone order with impeccable customer service. What a great member of your establishment. Thanks so much again Grant. A pleasure to deal with.

Wowwww What can I say.

If you have been to the Hat Head store in the past no you haven't. The New managers have done an amazing job renovating it. The place is clean and well-priced. It just takes the stress of shopping before you leave for your holiday away as they have everything even cheap grog. I am in love with the new Hat Head General Store

Only a few weeks old but already they have all the good stuff plus a few surprises 👏 Love the range of meats, fresh fruit & veg, alcohol etc. & service is delightful. Lots of smiles & happy people. Best wishes to you all for a very successful future.

Have only just moved into this wonderful little village , this store I believe is fairly new but they have all you can need for fruit/ veggies and necessities as well as a well stocked liquor store . But most of all they greet you with a smile and a hello .
Hat Head is in the middle of bush fires and lost power etc , but the owners/managers dug in and helped the community with free bbq etc for firies and townsfolk. What an asset to the village . I will definitely be supporting them. Thanks to the team at “THE GENERAL” .

Recently passed through Hat Head for the day and got to experience the newly renovated General Store.

The Staff are all lovely and the shop has been renovated stunningly. I would 100% Recommend stopping in when you are in hat head

Blown away from the minute we step in to the store. The range of stock was awsome and very reasonable. The range of gourmet cheeses and salamis better than stores in major towns
