I had a great experience here. I saw Dr Sama Balasubramanian, who is one of the best GPs you will ever find. The care he provides is both informed and considered, and his manner is gentle and empathetic. His consulting room is a safe space, particularly if you are a member of the LGBTIQ+ community or other minority groups. Cowra is lucky to have him!

I have always received fantastic customer service from the girls on reception the do a great job under enormous pressure .

Was unlucky enough to score "the dragon" on reception. Practically told that it was bad management that my husband has run out of important medication before his appointment next week (which we made weeks ago) Unfortunately, there are no appointments available this week. Was told to come to morning clinic, after 8am, to see a Doctor and secure medication. Showed up there this morning to be told that it is full. Come back tomorrow (another 60km each way) Out of sheer frustration, rang again this arvo. Scored a lovely person on reception who offered an alternative. It shouldn't be that hard, should it?? 🤷‍♀

Disappointing customer service. Booked for a covid test at 1pm, then arrive at 1pm to be told the appointment was actually 1:45pm, but come back at 2pm … an hour later…

I'm only giving 1 star because it was the only way I was able to comment, otherwise it would be a "minus"! There's a couple of totally rude women on reception. They need to be more tolerant of young people with disabilities. My daughter has Autism. She has to have her ears syringed regularly, tried to get into the lovely nurses, but the dragon wouldn't listen to her, just told her she could go to the hospital. This town has the worst medical facilities in NSW. what I just don't get is why they
can't have a system where you just go & wait instead of this getting there at daybreak only to be turned away. I don't go to doctors thank God, but I so pity people who need to. It's all about control and who knows who

The most dysfunctional medical practice in the whole of NSW. No empathy, patience or respect shown by rude counter staff. Had my Autistic daughter in tears over the phone all because she wanted to have her ears washed out which were blocked. Told she had to go to Cowra Hospital & she required a referral. Her support carer had to plea with Counter staff that she had a disability & suffered from anxiety! Nurses on site not happy with treatment shown to a person with a disability! The whole practice needs a complete overhaul starting with reception staff!

After waiting nearlly a month for the appointment, and then Waited an hour and half to see a Rude Arrogant and dismissive Dr, that didn't want to do any of the tests my specialist's from overseas or Sydney Suggest I do. Because they didn't diagnose me or understand the information I presented to them. You are a Dr. How do you not understand what another Dr wrote. Isn't that what medical history is there for! In the end, I just walked out without finishing what I was there for. Better I wait till I'm back in Sydney

Had the lovely and professional nurses there check my BP. They marched me in to see a Dr. Dr was rude, dismissive and arrogant. I rang the next day to voice my concerns to the practice manager. No call back. However, I did get a $133 invoice in the mail! Luckily managed to get an appointment in another town and the Dr there sorted out my BP straight away. So sad to see the disabled, sick and elderly lining up like beggars in the mornings hoping they can be given an appointment. More people in Cowra will develop chronic preventable illnesses or worse if this continues.

Receptionist is the rudest person, older one with a rough voice . Tried to make an appointment with the Nurse was told you need to see a Dr . I said I would just like the Nurse to look at my infected cyst that the Dr put me on Antibiotics for, which is clearing up, but it is just weeping clear fluid, would just like to see the nurse to obtain her opinion if I should come in and see a Dr and go back on Antibiotic. This dragon just bluntly said no you cant make an appointment with the nurse you have to see a Dr for Antibiotics. I said I know that I'm a retired Theatre nurse, I just would like the nurse to look at it before I come in on the fast lane as I live out of town . I asked to speak to a supervisor and was told to call back in 1 hour she is at lunch . I asked for the receptionist name , she stated I don't have to give you my name .OMG this is the worst medical Centre to get to see a Dr. Well I guess the Hospital will be getting chockers with people, which isn't fair as they want to free up the hospital system . Well clearly it isn't working in Cowra .

Wasn’t going to bother but it’s been p!sing me off.
Took my GF in to see a Dr for our first child is due this year.
We normally attend this practice to see a different dr. This dr who was recommended to us as he does “All the babies births in cowra” could not be bothered to listen to what my Partner wanted in her birth plan. (She’s a working RN she knows what she wants) she also has a complex history, this baby is a miracle. He was constantly dismissive of her wants. He made it clear that women should be seen not heard. He’s very aggressive in attitude & mannerisms. He’s got an accent, maybe it’s a cultural thing. However he’s a dr & part of being one is listening to your patients.
He’s also a dr who owns the practice, so a complaint there would be pointless.
We have decided to move to orange 3 months before due date. We are lucky to be in a position to do so. The dr we found in orange was a complete opposite. So helpful & understanding. Being first time we are both excited & terrified.
I wouldn’t allow the cowra baby Dr near anyone in my family. Definitely not my unborn child.
I have been told just recently by other people that they have also had issues. Not related to babies. All I can say is if he openly treats his patients the way he treated my Partner I can’t imagine how the staff are treated.
Other staff have always been great. I’ve never met the dragon everyone is talking about.
Unfortunately for the town these drs work at the hospital. So another reason why I won’t complain to the practice as he would hold a grudge against you, & I don’t trust he won’t treat you properly. ( I would not say that about anyone else at the practice) this dr needs to pull his head in a realise he’s not the rock star he thinks he is….time to retire mate.

Disgusting customer service..... Wouldn't know what the doctors are like because the cranky dragon behind the counter is a rude woman... Because I am not a regular, I was told to go else where...

When I pointed out she refused me service she back tracked and sent me to the respiratory clinic...
I need a female check up!!!

Just have to add, that when I again pointed out that I need to see a FEMALE dr, she states she didn't like MY tone and threatened to flag me ...

Still didn't get a dr app

IMPOSSIBLE to book. They tell you to call at 8:30 every day and by 8:31 there are NO APPOINTMENTS. You cannot book one at any time in the future, even weeks in advance. They do not offer appointments, you just have to play the lottery every day and hope you get picked. There must be about .5 of an appointment available per day because no matter when I call and how often I call I can't get one. Absolute insanity, this town has no medical care aside from the emergency department and I don't understand how that can be a thing.

Terrible. Staff treatment of patients. No understanding of mental health.

Not professional at all i understand staff gets busy but to wait over 20 days for the same prescription that I have seen doctor 2 months ago it's beyond joke specially when you need to travel overseas but can't go because you don't have your medication and can't rebook your air ticket that you paid over 5000$

They are killing people. Most deplorable service/business in town. Absolutely disgusting that this is what cowra has to rely on.

Cannot make appointments that are not same day, incredibly poor service.
