Tinnies At Back Creek Vineyard

When we arrived the owner let us know where to find the key to let ourselves in, and arrived to an awesome open airy light feeling in our home for the next week over Christmas 2016. Then as we went to transfer our food into the reasonable sized bar fridge, what a pleasant surprise; loads of bacon, eggs, 5 different varieties of fresh fruit, and being the Christmas period little bowls of sweets on the table and breakfast bar and a bottle of Christmas cheer. Then there was the white bread, multi-grain bread and 2 litres of real milk, etc., etc.
Shortly after we arrived, the owner, Bob, arrived, what a lovely man and wanted to know what else he could do for us.
The beds were comfortable, as were the lounge chairs; the bathroom was sizable, and all of the above were very clean.
We were able to just walk out on the back deck and use the barby, outdoor chairs and table. The air-con managed to keep up with us having lunch for 10 on a very hot Christmas day.
The setting is literally in a vineyard, and is very private, and for those that are worried about driving in through the vines, we drove the new Ford Ranger in without any problems, we were able to park under cover in a large carport.
We did need to use the portable fridge that we had brought, however the girls had really brought a mountain of food for Christmas to add to the beer and wine.
The four of us had a really great time and were able to entertain a few of the family comfortably with ease. The short drive out from Cowra is rather pleasant and it is great value for money.
Thank-you, Bob and Meg for being fantastic hosts, we will be back to 'Tinnies' to stay again.

You get good bang for your buck at Tinnies. Not only is it attractive accommodation set right in the middle of a vineyard, they also supply provisions for a full breakfast for each morning of your mandatory two-night stay. Think eggs, cereal, milk, coffee, bread, bacon, vine tomatoes, butter plus plenty of fresh fruit, including a big bowl of excellent strawberries. There’s even crackers and a bottle of wine in case you haven’t loaded up at the region’s vineyards. Set in a corrugated tin shell, the digs are comfortable and drenched in natural light with giant picture windows on three of four sides. I loved having a bathroom full of natural light, with privacy provided by wooden shutters or the winding grape vines. The neighbour’s vivid yellow canola fields added some colour to the view. Perhaps the only difficulty is the harrowing drive through the gnarly vines in a fat, modern car, but we survived without scratches! Thanks, Bob!

We were a party of two and stayed only one night. The cottage is warm, comfortable, brilliantly stocked with breakfast food and it has a wonderful hot shower. The beds are comfortable and the setting charming. Our host was solicitous and friendly. This is a perfect get away and I'd love to have stayed more than one night. Thank you!

Highly recommended! Tinnies is a secluded and very comfortable self-catering cottage in the middle of a vineyard - a quiet country setting just a few kilometers from Cowra. The owners delighted us with a well stocked fridge, fruit, wine, chocolates, etc. We enjoyed how clean and light-filled the cottage is, with views from every room of the vineyard, birds and local wildlife.

Absolutely great.
Great location literally in the vines, generous provisions, private and really nice building.
