Took my car for a general service, with a few other things being to replaced. They provided really good insight on how the car is going and any future recommendations and not “pushy” to do un-needed work. Second time I went to Negus, and highly recommend to anyone that wants quality work and service on their car. Competitive pricing too!

I took my Commodore that had persistent “knocking sounds” in to have the front struts replaced, at the advice from another mechanic. However, Simon advised the problem was something different, and around half the price of what I was expecting to pay for the struts.
I’m grateful for Simons honesty and will be recommending to all.

I took my defender in for them to diagnose/find the leak in my AC system. I told them I needed my car back by 3pm and it doesn’t haft to be finished as it was my fault. But I arrive at 3pm with them finding 2 leaks, repaired 2 leaks and the system was fully working. Awesome staff and awesome work from the guys. Highly recommend them.

If you are in Northern Suburbs and unsure about the mechanic go to this place. Simon is a gem, very knowledgeable and shares the information transparently unlike many mechanics. Elena is a very friendly front desk receptionist and its a bonus if you love to pet dogs Max.

This morning, I had a check engine light on intermittently on my dash, I was a bit anxious as I had to travel a couple of regional sites for my work. Simon did a scan for my jeep grand Cherokee, he found that the catalyst convertor in S1 bank(emission related) was not working, went through all the Zenith scan checks, erased the errors and suggested me that its nothing major to worry about.

Not only that, we went for a spin, just to make sure the car drives smooth, its reliable and there are no engine related issues. Who does that? Very reasonable pricing, exceptional customer service and a family run local business.

Please do not hesitate to go there if its a first time mechanic service for you with Negus Auto.

Simon has serviced and repaired our family vehicles for over 30 years. We have relied on him for a big range of cars from ancient rattlers destined for the wrecker (or needing to go over the licensing pit), to brand new vehicles getting their log book servicing, along with our current four wheel drive and camper trailer.
