QPWS Crows Nest Falls National Park

After the recent rain the creek is flowing and water is tumbling down the rock face. All the rock pools are full. Very peaceful. Beautiful place to come and relax.

The creek pool was very nice. A bit of a hike and steep rocky climb in and out. My 6yr old managed it though.

Easy walk to lookout and falls. Very dry at the moment. Water still at the bottom of the falls ,falls not flowing. Good view from lookout.

Clean and tidy camping area with a fire pit. Toilet with a camp style shower block. (you need your on hot water)

There may be no water at the moment but this place is still a good day trip...

It's beautiful, interesting country with some interesting fauna. We saw a koala and rock wallabies while we were here.

I would think twice before camping here though, unless you are in a large group. Given the camp site is quite easily accessed from the main road, we had the unfortunate experience of a lowered commodore rolling into camp at 3 AM during the pouring rain and driving slowly around. I'm pretty sure they were up to no good. We had seen the same car in the visitor's car park near by during the day.

I don't recommend camping here if you are an individual, couple, or if you have young kids.

Also if you come for the day, definitely don't leave your valuables in the car while you walk. I know that should be standard practice, but the risks are higher here.

It's a shame really. The easier a place is to access, the more attractive it is for unsavoury types to roll up in their vehicles and steal things or worse.
