The herbs are very good for making herbal chicken or pork soup. These herbs help to boost up the immunity system. Adding 2 to 3 slices of Angelica in the boiling soup or boiling porridge will give a better aroma. And some believe it is better for blood circulation in cold weather. (2021-06-28)

Although this shop area is not big, it does not stop the owner to display all of those popular and essential items needed for food preparation and cooking. I find the prices here are reasonable and competitive. This friendly couple is very helpful in searching for your future item if you have a picture of the product. (2021-06-23)

The ancient Chinese Dragon Boat Festival is here again. Food for celebration includes Zongzi (Sticky Rice Dumplings). Re-visited this shop this morning to buy some dumplings. At home, I boiled the dumplings for 15 minutes. After cutting it open, found the steaming dumpling rice was so smooth and easily falling apart. That was tasty! The Cantonese dumpling was made with pork, chestnuts, mushroom, dried shrimps and slightly salty glutinous rice. The Taiwanese dumpling was made with dhal, mushroom, pork, dried shrimps and plain glutinous rice. I prefer the salty taste of Cantonese dumpling, especially when it is still warm, cause it brought out the smell of the bamboo leaves. (2021-06)

They have a daily supply of deep-fried yau-char-kwai, Ham-Chim-Pang and curry potato puff, and baked Siew-pao. So wonderful to have it as dessert for afternoon tea. However, you will get more choices on Saturday at 9 AM. They are usually gone fast with a long queue up line. (2021-04)

A really nice Asian supermarket with lots of food and foodstuffs. I managed to find ready to drink chendol here and it was tasty and really nice. The bread up front were also quite good. Great place to stop for snacks or for groceries.

Good choice of Asian groceries. They had quite a few of our usual herbs/spices in bigger quantity and lower prices, which is great. They also stock some of the Famous Emma Yong tau foo which is located in Northbridge, as this is 20 mins nearer to us than Northbridge, we'll definitely frequent this joint more.

Love this shop, has everything you need for Thai or Chinese cooking. Very reasonable pricing compared to other asian shops south of river. Friendly staff and got nice ready made meals on Saturday. Nasi Lemak & Curry puffs so delicious!!!
