Absolutely thrilled with our first-ever surfing lesson at Margaret River Surfing Academy! The instructors were not only highly skilled and safety focused, but they were also incredibly patient, making the experience enjoyable for both the adults and the kids in our group. Their passion for surfing and dedication to teaching shone through, creating a positive and memorable atmosphere. From mastering the basics to catching our first waves, the guidance was top-notch. We couldn't have asked for a better introduction to surfing. Kudos to the entire team at Margaret River Surfing Academy for an unforgettable day by the waves! 🏄‍♂🌊

Had a blast with our instructor who was very positive and encouraging, it wasn’t a stiff or impersonal lesson and just adjusted according to how we were going which is perfect for this kind of experience. Loved it and will recommend all the time

Everything you'd want from a surf school. Safe, enthusiastic, knowledgeable and fun. They provided a wetsuit, board and wax. All you need is a towel and some zinc. My 12 year old loved it. Great guys with heaps of love for the sport that they want to share with you. Highly recommended.

I organised a guided surfing tour for my girlfriend as a Christmas gift, through Simon. Communication was great and very efficient.

The lesson itself was with Lee, who was just brilliant. He was understanding of her level of experience and skill, very knowledgeable and extremely enthusiastic.

I found the tour to be great value for money as well.

I really could not recommend this company and both Simon and Lee enough.

We hired boards from Simon for our teenage sons during our time in Margaret River. We contacted Simon beforehand by email and organised pick up.

The boards were perfect and Simon made sure they suited the boys levels. He also gave us information about where to surf to suit the wind and tides.

We had an adult friend with us who also hired a boratd and was very happy with Simon's service.

Amazing surf coach Thomas the Hungarian not only did my boy and her friend catch waves his gentle nature & inspiring surfing vibe inspired us greatly Big thanks Northy 🌊😃⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

We had an awesome 2:1 session for our kids. Amazing local knowledge. Super easy to book and get going via Simon. Both kids got up. Ryan our coach was amazing. Thanks guys.

Josh & his team are awesome! We hired kayaks with Josh and also had our first ever surf lessons with them! What an experience! Thank you Josh for looking after us and providing everything and thank you Simon for the great time we had on the boards! So much fun, enthusiasm, patience, knowledge and guidance. My daughter (7) and I had our first surfing experience with one of Josh’s awesome coaches Simon. We learned so much and felt so safe. Simon was amazing. Most of all, we had so much fun. It was super easy to book and all the equipment was provided. Thanks Josh - and we wish you a very well earned retirement!

I had two one-on-one lessons with Simon and progressed massively. He was super easy to organise lessons with and took me to two different locations depending on the swell and tide. Simon was able to explain the simple things like right stance and how to progress to the pop up as well as all of the weird nuances that surfing has like the lineup and priority. Overall a really good experience and would definitely come back again.

SIMON was amazing. Very professional and kids loved it. Had our 8 and 10 y/o for beginners lesson and they spend most of the time in the water and even stood up a few times. Definately worth of money. 5/5.

Wanted the kids to have a surf lesson when we were in Margs. Couldn't have asked for a better experience. Really knowledgeable coaches and felt safe that the kids were in the water with them.

Josh and his family were so lovely to deal with, the experience was a 10/10. Would recommend friends and family to hire the kayaks when visiting Margaret River.

We had a great afternoon kayaking down the river. Sarah was a very generous and adaptable person who definitely supported us and soothed our concerns regarding kayaking for the first time.

We’ve spent the holidays in Perth and Margret River where my son had several lessons with different surf schools. This was by far the best lessons he had. The Coach, George was very patient, knowledgeable and a great role model for my son, Olly.Josh took time to teach Olly about the safety of the ocean , teaching him about different rips, how to recognise and most importantly, safety. Super impressed and we will be back on our next visit to Margret River.
