The track heading up is very steep, making navigation difficult. Simply follow the pink and yellow ribbons strung to the trees. The views make the hike worthwhile. It's nice and windy at the top of the hill. SPECTACULAR CANE FIELD VIEWS TO THE EAST AND BRUCE HIGHWAY, OF COURSE. It took me two hours to get from the carpark to the summit and back. Also, the rock may be quite slippery and damp; make sure you're gripping onto something, such as tree branches or the rocks.

Great hiking trail for some uphill fun. It took us 40 minutes to reach the top.
Wear good shoes.

The entrance is unsigned but is at the end of Westlake Drive, as shown in the video and photos. And once in there, you can follow the path indicated by the colored ribbons.

A wonderful trip. Took us about 1h to the top and it was amazing!!!
Remember do not follow Google map, it’s at the end of Westlake Drive. Just follow red ribbons on trees.

Challenging 3k out and back. Steep and rocky, so you need good shoes and both hands at times. Trail is on western side, so mornings are in the shade. We’ll worth the effort! Views are amazing.

A little bit hard 45 minute hike up the hill, through part dry rocky water fall course. Lots of rock hopping. Best done in shade of the morning. Hiking boots preferably. Very nice cooling breeze and view from the top.

Such a beautiful place. Great walk. Take plenty of water. Best walked in the morning so you go up in the shade of the forest. Wear sturdy shoes. Anyone with knee or climbing injuries.... seriously think about doing this walk. Lots of rock hopping and climbing. It is such a beautiful exhilarating view from the top.....so glad I did it. The locals/neighbours in the street are obviously fed up with people parking on their nature strips..... please be thoughtful when parking to do this walk. Whatever you take in....please bring it back out. Puma servo on the way back to Mackay has toilets outdoor seating and cool drinks!!

There’s a lot of rocks so make sure you’re wearing proper shoes. Bring lots of water and there’s prking available just at the start of the trail.

Great trail, probably the most adventurous one in the area. The path is marked clearly using fluro spray paint and tape.

Be prepared for a lot of rock jumping, climbing and steep climb towards the end with loose terrain. Perfect for those wanting a hike with a bit of challenge.

I wouldn't reccomend this trail to anyone who isn't steady of foot but if you take it on the view at the top is spectacular.

This is definitely an amazing climb to do and only takes about an hour to get to the top. There is plenty of beautiful rainforest to enjoy as you make your way to the top for a spectacular view. On a clear day, you can see out towards Mackay and the harbour.

It would be best to do this climb when the weather is dry as some of the track can be slippery. Wearing shoes with a strong grip is advised. Also, no toilets or drink facilities so make sure to bring water.

Omg awesome view. A bit tricky to get up. But coming down was easy. A bit disappointing that you can't park near the track.

Difficult but rewarding. Not for the very young or unfit. Awesome views to be taken in after a reasonably tough bushwalk. Well worth it!
