Camp Eagle Mountain Retreat

Absolutely awesome place for a retreat. I went with a group of men and it was such a good experience. It was easy to cook food, we had a fun team building event building boats out of 4 pieces of cardboard, 2 rolls of tape and a pen. We even put them to the test in the little lake. The permanent tents made it easy to stay overnight. The toilet and shower facilities are good. And it is so convenient that it is close to town. One of my friends has to attend to his child in town and so it took him 10 minutes to go and do that. I highly recommend this place in every way.

Camp Eagle was the perfect location to hold our first Shed at Camp Eagle. Shed Happens used the site for an evening BBQ discussing Domestic and Family Violence, it is amazing what wisdom comes out when sitting around a campfire. Camp Eagle is perfectly suited to a weekend or week away camping with clean toilets, kitchen and tent accommodation.

Fantastic camp facilities for our Year 5 school camp. We had our second annual camp in September and again, we had a fantastic time! Very well maintained and everything ran smoothly. We are definitely returning with our school group each year. Thanks to all who make Camp Eagle MR what it is!

What a great place Camp Eagle is. 20 minutes from Mackay, but ages away from the rat race. Such a peaceful location for our event tonight. Can’t wait to get out there again!

As one of the directors of a local youth camp, I was impressed with Camp Eagle Mountain Retreat. Affordable and well resourced it is a hidden gem for Mackay. More people should know about it! If you are looking for a camp ground, then look no further.

A very good place for camping....has all things needed and is close to town. Thanks for having our Kiribati community for a weekend camp. We did enjoy both nights.

We recently had our Mid 8 Week Challenge Camping weekend out at Camp Eagle Mountain Retreat and it was the perfect location for us.
It is quite close to town like 15 mins from the city heart.
With two times shower and toilet blocks, a generator and gas bottles for electricity and hot water, camping tents already setup with stretcher beds and utensils like plates, cutlery, bowls, cups and barbecues available to use, you can’t go wrong choosing Camp Eagle for your camping getaway whether for large or small groups.
The location also boasts lots of trails to conduct outdoor activities like hiking, mountain biking, team building activities etc.
The huge marquee and basketball court were just perfect for what we needed to do.
All you need to bring is basically just your clothes and toiletries bag! Because even if you don’t have a tent, they do have some there.
Phil Hall does a great job of looking after people out there and it is very affordable.
We are planning this into our yearly activities for Muscle Garden - the experience was that good!

This is a brilliant community campsite facility. I love the bush setting and our school group had a ball. The low cost of this venue grabbed me and our children came away with a great experience.

Been to several youth camps and a men's night, neat facilities, good site. Loved the times there.

Great facilities and a beautiful camping site, perfect place to hold a function for youth or school camp. The location is ideal as it's close to town however it does not compromise the serenity of the place.

Great camping facilities, well maintained and now includes a half basketball court.

SU Jump camp, excellent facilities, huge covered area with power for bush dance, concert & games. Spectacular surroundings for outdoor activities. Big fire pit for dampers and large campfires. Great set up for camp.

Has a backyard camping feeling. 3min from Mt Pleasant. Lovely open area and keep kids busy while still close to home.

This is not a public camping ground. It is for community groups who have booked in.
