First off, the feel of this place is so warm and cosy (quite literally). Everything is so well decorated, with lots of plants, produce and books!

This is probably the first time I've laughed while reading a menu. Everything has a funny little description with lots of music references, and the dish names are very creative! I mean, who wouldn't want to order a "Flocking Good Bowl"

Then of course we have the food itself:

We started with the garlic bread and leaf salad. The bread was nice and toasty with a healthy amount of oil, garlic and toppings. It was great by itself, or to compliment a meal. The salad was a lovely way to start the evening. Lots of greens, a nice bit of apple, all with a generous topping of sauce and salt that just worked so nicely with everything.

I got myself "The Long And Winding Road", or gnocchi with beef cheek. Absolutely everything on the plate was so tender and soft that I barely touched the knife! The beef was just to die for, the gnocchi was cooked to perfection, and the sauce was the perfect thing to bring it all together.

Finally, for dessert, I had the chocolate fondant cake with Chantilly cream. Each bite was like a chocolate explosion (hence the name!) At first I thought the cream was ice cream, but I was quickly surprised and impressed at how they got it to such a consistency!

Overall, Salt Pepper Nutmeg is a fantastic experience with amazingly delicious food. Of course, said experience definitely comes at a price, but a price I'd be willing to pay again. Looking forward to coming back one day!

Everything was perfect! We walked in and luckily they had some space to seat my family. The ambiance was very quaint and service was fast and attentive. We had the beef cheek gniocci, the duck, trout and the brownie dessert. All of it was cooked perfectly and delicious! Will definitely be back again soon!

Nice with really good modern European food. Our waitress was so lovely, well educated about the menu, really friendly with excellent customer service.

I have been there many times for dinner and I’ve always had a great experience. Everything on the menu is good, and it’s a wonderful home dining room like environment.

Great restaurant with excellent food choices right next to the picture theatre (movies) at Roseville. The food is excellent, reasonably priced and the place has a very relaxed feel. The service was very quick too. The lady who runs it gets beautiful fresh flowers to decorate the tables which really adds something special.

Fantastic food and fast service. Staff are all very friendly and helpful.

Peefect environment for a nice night out with family and friends. Very Tasty Beef Cheeks and the splash of truffle oil is perfect finish of this dish. Will definitely come back again.

Omg the wait staffs are amazing, they brought the special boards in for me to see coz I'm "special". The food is so good. The garlic bread was to die for. And there is fresh flowers everywhere!!!

OMG! Those beef cheeks were an out of body experience.... 🙏 Our hosts were outstanding!
A Great Birthday Celebration!

They have a limited menu, but each dish is high quality and super delicious. Their desserts are particularly good.

We had the duck and it was superb! As was the chocolate mousse dessert!! I love my veggies and they know how to cook them and give a decent serve. The restaurant was packed and they really needed one more staff but in the end it was well worth the wait.

An absolutely flawless experience. The space is gorgeous, the ambiance and music tasteful, and not too loud. Our server Anna was delightful and attentive. All our meals were beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. Possibly the best vegan meal I've ever had. A fabulous experience.

We came for our anniversary and it was one of the few restaurants open on a Monday night on the mid North Shore. Walked into a warm and homely space with dried flowers everywhere, books galore, and a bunch of mismatched tables, chairs and benches - I loved it. The food was fantastic - I like the share plates idea, you get to try a bunch of dishes. Owners were friendly too. Great place to use a Dine & Discover voucher before they expire. We will be back.

We have visited many times with friends, and have always had a fabulous meal and service. Marion is outstanding in every way, making you feel welcome.
Its a real favourite, you can even do the movie deal, dinner and a movie at Roseville Cinema.

We had a most enjoyable evening in this homely restaurant with its interesting decor and delicious food. I like the fact that it is a small menu and each dish is made with loving care.

Came here recently for my wife’s 30th with a group of friends and had a wonderful time. The staff were very accommodating to our needs and the food was delicious. The decor was also warm yet unassuming - great place for kids too as we noticed there were jars of crayons on some of the tables and hand-drawn pictures posted up on the walls.

Great service and a lovely meal for our wedding anniversary, even in lockdown. Delivered on time, well presented and delicious. We made an event of it, dressed ourselves and the table, but perhaps not as well as you get in the restaurant. They happily altered a dish to accommodate our GF daughter. Will definitely do again while these circumstances prevail.
