Readings Hawthorn

My favourite book store. You can get anything from the book world here, from high quality collectors edition hard copies, book signings by well known authors, new arrivals, old books, anything! I always get my books from here because they are always in peak condition and untouched. The prices are a bit higher than places like Kmart and big w, but if you want the best quality, always go here.

Just had a chance to see their new shop. Amazing, this place wants me to sit down and read!

Fabulous, inspiring, well curated bookshop where you leave with the books you wanted and those you didn’t know you must read. Lovely staff too!

Really cute bookstore w a dedicated kids section that the kids are free to browse and read books.

Great little bookshop. Has a huge range and is really well set out. Books and genres are nicely presented and easy to find. Staff are helpful and friendly. I was surprised at how reasonable the prices of the books were, o wasn't paying anymore than I would for them online. I would highly recommend this place.

A quality bookstore that won’t fail to impress. If you’re looking for a store that has it all (with that old’ quirk) then you should stop for a visit. It’s of further note that they have a selection of all genres and vast collection of hardbacks, making this location a perfect place to shop for gifts. I forgot to mention - they also stock vinyl!

Absolutely beautiful bookshop, so we'll stocked with every title you could possibly want, as well as cds and records. Lovely, happy staff who are friendly and helpful. The whole place is a magical vibe.

Reading Hawthorn is a great bookshop! Huge store with plenty of books on offer and well laid out. Big kids sections and the the staff are friendly and helpful too. Easy access from two entries and close to a large carpark as well as street parking. Recommend

Really friendly staff on site and a massive selection of books in different genres, some that I hadn't seen around and had to buy

The customer service was phenomenal. Don't think that just because all my recent reviews have been mostly 5/5 that this high rating has lost its value. I've been blessed recently with some fantastic experiences and I can absolutely say without a shadow of a doubt that this was truly a 5/5 experience as I had 0 expectations going in.

Firstly they stocked a book when no one else had it. I had been tracking this book for quite some time and this readings really prevailed in my time of need.

Secondly they offered free gift wrapping. Fantastic for the Christmas time rush!

Thirdly the selection of books was extremely vast.

And forth they had a nice little cafe which I intend to visit again as I'm definitely coming here soon!

My first visit here today. Wonderful does not even begin to describe it. Friendly staff, incredibly well set out , CD DVD section. I will become a regular here for sure. Thank you

Excellent for a variety of books, from cookbooks to classic Penguin novels, and all sorts in-between (I particularly enjoy their non-fiction section, some interesting subjects!). A fantastic variety of travel guides too... I do love my Lonely Planet. Great coffee shop right next door, accessible via the bookstore or by the front door, selling cakes, drinks and meals.

I received a gift card for my birthday and thought it was about time I checked it out; it was awesome! I didn't realise the shop went all the way to the back; it was a pleasant surprise! They had a great variety of books, but I was a little disappointed with the small supply of 'science/psychology/spirituality' texts, it was great for looking for YA, children literature or cookbooks, but not a lot of sciencie stuffs.

This is a great place to browse especially if you are a booklover.It has a diverse range of products other than books as well..calendars, diaries, cards.for example.
The categories of the books are very useful as they save you time, & there is quick access to the best sellers and recent arrivals which are kept up to date. The variety of reasonably priced, if not cheap books on a table just inside the entrance is difficult to pass by
without buying at least one item.
Staff members are very knowledgable, willing to order books for you, & will recommend others well worth reading.This is one of my favourite places to.visit.

Thank goodness we have Readings Bookshop, everytime I go there I just enjoy the atmosphere, the Staff who know everything you need to know about the books they have there. And if not they happily will check it out.
They also have music and films available, and often I find some little treasure of a movie that is not readily available.

This is by far the best store I’ve visited in years. Readings Hawthorn have the most amazing variety of books, music, DVD’s - you name it. And if they don’t have a title that you’re after, they happily order it in for you. There was one book which was not available in Aus so they ordered & brought it in for me from England. I love this shop ❤

Love visiting this place as one of the few remaining bookstores around. Wide selection of books from around the world and a huge range of childrens and kids books at the back. Also good to grab a coffee from the cafe at the rear.
