Excellent part of history to visit. Gravel road in. 3 parking spots. Long drop toilet. 1 picnic table. 1 bench seat.
Yes it's run down and over grown - it's a very old historical site that is remaining untouched. Still very much able to gauge the size/location/build of the camp. Very interesting, lots of informative sign boards, it took us roughly 1 hour to wander around.
Look out for the resident dugite - it is quite sizeable!

A well worthwhile site to gain an insight into the conditions German and Italian POWs were in during their respective interments during WWII. It's worthwhile taking a photo of the "map" at the start to help keep a track of where you are. Also worth noting the quicker return to the carpark area via the "Power House".
*NOTE: the Google map marker is for the car park area. There's a short walk to the entrance of the camp.

Really interesting history back in the time where Italians and Germans where under confinement here in Australia ,

You continue to see part of the ruins and is a quite interesting walk .

The are is amazing, you got some waterfalls and the camping site !

Perfect to enjoy and day or a few out of the city or towns, plenty of animals and birds watching!

This place was a great weekend day trip. A lot of sign's does need a couple of seats. Toilet needs a clean, but I would love to see it again.

Checked it out on a rainy day, coming back from camping near Dwellingup. Google maps took up the back roads to get there but worth the detour.
I didn't get any photos but it was good to experience the history. Highlight would have to be the flower beds.

A unique experience visiting the WWII camp. Although the buildings are long gone the remnants are interesting and information is provided. I didn't know there was anything like this in WA. The stories of the men there are quite moving. My only criticisms are the gravel access road is only partially maintained by the council - it should be done the whole way. Also many of the information boards are faded as to be almost unreadable - they need re-doing. Despite this I would highly recommend a trip here.

Visited this amazing historical site while on a Bibbulmun Track Event. They provided a Guide which I think is necessary as the site is very degraded and now reclaimed by the bush it sits in. The guide provided a detailed story of the sites' history with humour. It came alive because the stories told were from newspaper accounts at the time or memories of inmates. If your interested in West Australian history it's a lost event. Some people from this camp became successful South West farmers and ran other businesses in later years. German inmates were paid by the Australian Government after they returned to Germany. An interesting fact was that no inmate wished to talk about the Marrinup POW site experience because it was too embarrassing. Well worth a visit, no parking no toilets no shops. Nearest town is Dwellingup. Contact Bibbulmun Track Foundation.
