So lovely to see for myself a pink lake. Depending on the time of the year it can be more pink

Although in this hot weather season, the water line isn’t high. But it is still amazing to see different view. It took me about 5hrs to get there. But it still worthed👍

Depending on the time of the day, it's a hit and miss. Locals recommended we go either early morning before the sun crests over the hill or an hour before sunset to get the full effect of the lake. I went at midday on a semi cloudy day and managed to get some awesome pics

Breathtaking view of the pink lake and the blue sky....it's hypnotizing!. There is a lookout point which keeps on occupied as too many tourists come to visit during the winters. But it is worth to be at pink 🩷 shore.

We visited in July, it was perfect time to enjoy the pink beauty in a lake. A must place to be visited with kids. Drive 1km from the lookout to freshen up and relax and enjoy the sea view. Driving next to pink lake was really awesome.

Incredible view to come see! Felt pretty cool walking on the salt lake. Just be careful of some people who have drones and no clue about flying them safely or aware of personal space. We had one nearly hit us and crash a few metres away.
I flew mine 500m away from other people and landed it well away from crowds.

Stunning lake! Best viewed between 10 am and 2 pm to capture the beauty of the pink hues over the water. A definite must-do when visiting Kalbarri.

A very pink lake in all different shades. We visited on the ground as well as flying from above, was so cool to see the vibrancy of the pink 💕

Really nice view! Visit around midday 27th November 2021 and the lake was really beautiful. This place can be visit on the way to Kalbarri. Free parking available and you will be able to get fabulous views from sky if you have a drone!

We didn’t actually stop at the lookout but just after it on side of the road. We thought much better views from there. Very pretty

It's nice to stop there on the way to Kalbarri, the colours are a bit more spectacular with some elevation. The sand dunes help a bit.
No amenities available there, just a car park

The pink lake appears more vivid at a high angle, while it appears slightly darker when viewed from eye level. Please be cautious of the black mud beneath your feet; you’ll regret stepping on it.
Enjoy the view😙

No matter how many photos you've seen of this lake, it's still worth the detour to see it up close with your own eyes. There's an element of luck involved though, because to some extent the weather affects the color to a degree. We got a very grey overcast and cold windy day during our visit on 8 Sep 2022, it's still pink, but I bet it would look nicer if there were a clear blue sky. Nevertheless, we were making ooh and ahh sounds at the sight of this natural wonder. In any case, we had a grandstand view of the pink lake (and better weather) when we took to the skies on a scenic flight with Nation West Aviation at Kalbarri the following day.

Spectacular view, best to come in mid morning when the pink is more pink. Also need a circular polariser filter to shoot.
Beware of the soft mud ponds and never drive through water in unsealed roads around the lake.

Incredible! I experienced a strange sensation of being on another planet! The lake was super pink and we enjoyed every second. Luckily, we had a clear day. Cloudy skies would have darkened the colour of the lake. The road is very close to the lake and you can admire all its majesty while driving. Amazing experience. Highly recommended.

This is Hutt lagoon be prepare for a long drive at least 5.5 hours driving non stop. I would recommend start early and drive to The Pinnacle have a rest and, then drive to Hutt lagoon another 4hours from the Pinnacle. Once you get to the lake follow the sign to pink lake lookout and there will be an area for parking. From the parking area you can walk down to the lake and take pictures. From far away the water doesn't look pink but once you get close to it you will see pink.

I’ve been driving up here for years and I’m have never stopped to check it out. More of a glance most days and a nod to the lake. This time I have never seen it soooo pink!
The lookout was busy and have never seen so many tourists! The visit was also on a weekend so week days might be quieter. But I think that because the lake was putting on a show it was extra busy.
Worth checking out though!
