These islands share an amazing history/story when a sailing ship The Batavia from Holland ran aground in 1629. A group in the crew took it upon themselves to slaughter over 118 people men women children to save their own lives due to a shortage of supplies. They were eventually hung on the island for their crimes. It’s a fascinating story. Read the book and be chilled.
