Cossack Budget Accommodation

Our trip to Cossack was not really planned, but we stopped in and liked the look of the place so we decided to stay! We booked a camp ground the first night, which was lovely (bring insect repellent and binoculars) for our second night we upgraded to a room and shower. It was really great being able to stay in one of the historic buildings and it was peaceful after the day trippers left.
Despite it being 'budget' accommodation it had some nice touches, and it was all clean and well presented.
All the staff we dealt with were incredibly friendly and helpful! We will be back.

Wonderful little place with an interesting history and great hosts. Host Dot took me through the accom and let me know about all the events happening in town - Cossack may be small but there’s a lot going on once you know where to look! The room was simple, clean and lovely. The shared spaces were impeccably clean and well equipped. The kitchen was well organized and better stocked than any caravan park and on par with most aparthotels. Definitely pop out at night to look at the stars, the lack of light pollution means there are some incredible views to be had. I never leave reviews but this place is so clearly a labor of love and so clearly under the radar that I couldn’t not comment. More people should know about this place!

A gem for locals to enjoy or for visitors to the pilbara.
Great value and you get to see Cossack in all it’s glory at morning/night.

Beautiful location, simple accommodation, sufficient breakfast included. Good host service. Worth a visit!

Comfortable and homey

It looked like a nice place to stay when we passed through in 2020. We were disappointed this visit as it felt like staying in shared accommodation with semi-permanent residents including smokers and was noisy until well after 10pm.
