This fish and chips shop is quite famous.
Waiting for your order to be cooked can be quite long during the weekend or holiday season.
However, the fish is fresh and tasty worth the wait.
The only accepted payment method here is cash only.
Parking is available off the street.

Shop was spotless... Amazing fresh crayfish, oysters and prawns ordered for Chriatmas day lunch. Also got a minimum chips for the trip home and hands down best chips I've ever had, lots of those awesome little crunchy bits and crunchy fluffy potato 🤤 We will be back. Also love the fact they are cash only. All staff were SO friendly and welcoming, Really really great. 10/10. Didn't get pics because was too busy enjoying the food!!

A great small shop cooking fish fresh to order, or you can purchase it fresh to cook yourself. Lovely owners and great quality seafood. Keep in mind that it is cash only, but it’s not a problem as there is an ATM just a quick walk away.

We called into this place yesterday whilst visiting the area and craved for some good old fashioned fish n chips, and we weren't dissappointed.

The shop was nice and clean and the two guys serving behind the counter were lovely to deal with. You can watch as they take your fresh seafood out of the window and batter and fry it right in front of you. That was an unexpected treat.

We chose their deal 3 for $40. It consisted of 2 huge pieces of battered fish, 2 battered crabsticks, 2 battered scallops, 4 crumbed calamari rings, 2 crumbed prawns and a good lashing of chips. OMG, it would easily have fed four people and everything was cooked beautifully.

These guys have most certainly got their act together when it comes to producing mouth watering food that's cooked to perfection at great prices.

A visit to Daylesford would not be complete without tantalising your taste buds at this little gem tucked away in country Victoria.

Take cash as there is no Eftpos. BEST Fish & Chips I have had in Australia by a long way. Worth travelling here just for the food. Also had Chips which were amazing. Come here if you can!

The service we received was exceptional when ordering. The chips, potato cakes and dim sims were absolutely cooked to perfection and the Butterfish pieces were huge. All cooked in fresh oil which makes all the difference. I haven't had fish and chips like this in a LONG time. This place really has its act together. Congratulations to the owner. This will be a MUST visit every time we pass through. If I could give more stars I honestly would!!

Well what can I say I had fish and chips from here it was fantastic food was excellent staff are very friendly and helpful Well done keep up the good work and I will definitely be back for some more lovely food

Outstanding service on very busy new years eve, we placed several large orders which were dispatched very efficiently without fuss, as per the time indicated and the food was absolutely delicious!

The best seafood you'll go to, the batter is perfect. I had fresh oysters, the king George Whitting and calamari rings was to die for definitely come back here ! The staff were wonderful and threw in extras free of charge.

Great service and exceptional quality. Went back two days in a row for the oysters which are schucked on-site, delicious and fresh. Topped up the meal with some hot chips which were also scoffed down by the time I got home. Will definitely return.

Staff is always smiling. What a nice man. Because of a reason I couldn't leave the person behind me and go to another shop for veg option. So I asked the staff, if they have any veg burger. He told me, he will fix me one. and omg, it was so yummmmm... Def add in menu. I am going to be your regular for the veg burger now ha ha... The person with me loved the snapper and chips. We both enjoyed our lunch. And thanks for the chips, they were just the right amount and were able to finish it without wastage. Thanks Heaps!

Very lovely staff, fresh fish and reasonable price what else you could ask for? Buy two (big) snapper and chips for special price!!! It was cash only, maybe the eftpos didn't work I wasn't sure.

This place is a fantastic fish and chip shop , I try to go in once a week while building up here, Ive tried a few different things on the menu, staff always very nice and helpful, but I have to say that there seafood and chips are always spot on. You do a great job at what you do well done. Thank you.

Takeaway place so not "dine-in" atmosphere.
Nevertheless, friendly staff and food was prepared within 20 mins and adequately wrapped so no oil leaked through.

If butterfish is in season, go for it. Delicious.

A little over salted but that's me low salt preferred.

Chips are so crispy and just melt in your mouth. Best chip I have had in a long time. Good size portion too.

Freshest, tastiest, the best fish and chips I’ve ever had! Service was outstanding, super friendly. So much food the meal for 2 could have fed our family of four with leftovers. Thankyou :)

Excellent, no frills old style fish and chips. Large serves and well cooked. Just what you would expect. Get in early as they can run out when it's busy and bring cash as they don't do eftpos.
