Discovery Parks - Lake Bonney

It was a great place, the lake was beautiful and the rentals like paddle boats, canoes, etc were lots of fun. The pontoon was also great, I enjoyed jumping off it. I loved the possums in the tree above us too, for anyone who likes possum, if in a caravan or tent, book in row N lakefront. There was also a Pump bike track and it was fun going on it. There was a claw machine in a games room, but when we were about to win the machine turned off. But the possums redeemed that, so it is five stars for everything.

This is one of the best camping sights in SA. Beautiful lake, lots of activities for kids, clean toilets and kitchen, pool and a lot more. We went in group of 5 families having 4 toddlers 1 kid and a teenager. Everyone had a blast. This is one of the places you can repeatedly visit without getting bored.

We've never been here before. A beautiful park, awesome lake. Amenities are the best we have seen. Great place to bring the kids.
We only have 1 issue, and that's the vehicles that travel in the park. A lot don't travel at 5kms/walking pace when there is a lot of children around. Regardless, though, as an adult could step out from their camping space.

Stayed here for 2 nights with my family. The cabin was amazing, clean and comfortable. The amenities were great including the pools, waterpark and games room. The down side was there’s very limited restaurant nearby mostly cafes so if you don’t want to cook you have a few options. Overall this is a great caravan park.

This was our first interaction with Discovery Parks. We chose Lake Bonny for the, well you guessed it, the lake.

We stayed in one of the lake view cabins. It was during the school term, so it was not overcrowded at all. The whole experience was very peaceful. We had amazing sunsets and could enjoy our morning cuppa with a view.

The cabin facilities were way better than expected. It was just as in the pictures. The bed was so comfortable it blew my mind. So I was definitely well rested.

The gas heated pool was not as warm as we hoped for, but at least it wasn't cold. Common areas were in good condition and clean.

We'll definitely be back.

Friendly and helpful staff, nice green lawn, we stayed here for 6 nights in our caravan and my kids had a great time. Definitely will come back next year.

Great amenities, great location. Kids (tweens) absolutely loved it. Stayed in an economy cabin which was alright. It was all that was available at the last minute. Would definitely stay again, but in a nicer cabin.

Lovely caravan park by the lake, perfect for families with small or older kids, as they have an abundance of different activities on offer.
Fishing, kayaking, bikes, pool and Barmera is a lovely small town.
The park is really specious and dog friendly 🐾 we truly enjoyed staying there already rebooked at checkout 👍

Walking around the lake was a treat for nature lovers early in the morning. The water park features and pool areas were utilised by the kids, though I didn't see too many leave to go to the toilet 😳

The 'Deluxe 2 Bedroom Lakeview Cabin' was clean and nicely sized. There was a useful range of kitchen items, and the fridge was big enough that it had a separate freezer, not a bar fridge.

My children loved the playground and the vast grassy area on the lakefront where they could run and kick a ball.

Our only issue was that they gave us one less fitted sheet than we needed - a quick call to the office and they sorted it out with zero fuss.

It was winter, so we didn't go in the pool or water park, but the children are already pestering us to go back when it is warm. We will definitely return.

Great customer service. Stayed in two different cabins when travelling through. Minor upkeep and cleaning issues in 1 cabin, but the other was great. When reported issues, good communication. Children loved the activities. We will stay again.

3 years in a row and we love coming to Lake Bonney. The Delux cabin with lake view is just amazing. Kids loved the pool and riding their bikes around the park.

This is the best caravan park I have ever stayed at and the only one that ticks all the boxes. We will be back and thank you.

I've been going to this caravan park for 10 years + and honestly can't recommend it enough the staff is hands down the best I've come across

We took our camper and stayed at an ensuite site, loved being there, lots of in park activities for the kids

I had an excellent powered, level, shaded, grassed site (H12) providing close amenities and fabulous view of Lake Bonney. Though it was extremely busy on the Friday and Saturday, fortunately half the crowd have moved on. It's so peaceful now.
The sunsets/sunrises over lake are worth the stay. The park is expanding with more new cabins! The place can accommodate 2,500 people.
Till the end of March 2023 all sites available are on a fabulous deal for $20 per night.

Beautiful spot here by Lake Bonney. Unplanned stay here but glad we did. Large park with excellent facilities, especially for kids!

Stayed in the cabins in this park many times. Its always enjoyable and facilities are adequate for self catering, self sufficient holiday stays.

Stunning views over Lake bonney and only a short drive into barmera town centre with shopping, food choices and quaint shops!

I shall no doubt be back. Very relaxing!

Stayed here in a pet friendly cabin for 4 nights to have a break from our camper and so glad we did. The cabin had everything we needed and was so nice to have the comforts of a house again. The park has lots of things for the kids to do and the lake is a great view to wake up to every morning. Would stay again
