Specsavers Optometrists & Audiology - Gawler

I'm really happy with Specsavers. After years with another local optician my first appointment saw me at the eye surgeon for my vision that had been missed by their competitors. I don't go anywhere else for my eye wear or hearing aids. It is great service and the staff are always happy to help you.
I'm so glad Gawler has Specsavers in the main street.Prices and designs are fantastic too. One happy customer.

The staff were all so kind and lovely, first time going to specsavers and love love love!! I can’t believe how affordable they are, I could have gotten 8 pairs from here, with how much the last place charged me. I ended up getting 2 pairs for under 450 (one pair of sunnies and one normal) I highly highly recommend 🙌🫶

Staff are always friendly and welcoming. The optometrists are very knowledgeable as are the assist staff - always have a laugh and are made to feel comfortable throughout the whole process.

We had a medical emergency and desperately needed to be seen. The entire team were so incredible. From the care around booking the actual appointment, the greeting on arrival, the care and attention to detail in recording her details, the xray of the back of her eyes, the way the optometrist carefully went through the history and checks and actually explained the technical part very clearly so it wasn't overwhelming or scary in finding out what was happening. By the time we reached a vision field test, she was relaxed and confident enough to just go in and do it. The team was incredible as we methodically went through all the pairs in choosing the right ones. Didn't even judge when we video called Nanny for her opinion. I nearly fell over *in a good way* when I found out the price 3 pairs at Spec Savers were going to be after the health fund discount nearly $900 CHEAPER than for just ONE pair that I usually pay for at other leading places including directly from the health fund itself!! This means FINALLY we can have a spare pair and we can get that Harry Potter pair with lenses in it so in a cosplay situation she won't hurt herself and will ACTUALLY be able to see - and yes, this is do incredibly important to us.
I can't thank the entire team enough.

Optometrist explained the tests and the results clearly.
Turn-around on glasses was well within the expected delivery time.
This has become my go-to optometrist.

Staff was excellent. Excellent service, manners. They’re the whole package. I’d researched the frames I liked, so the whole experience took even less time. My glasses are great. Love them. I also received a “golden ticket” which I’ll be using to get a pair of prescription sunglasses half price! Very happy customer 🤓👓🕶 Follow up visit- got my 1/2 price prescription sunnies, in love 🕶. I was also able to swap out a pair of my glasses, free. I loved them, but they were a little too high & it was too difficult for me to look over them. So I picked another pair & they swapped them over for me. Never go anywhere else!!

First time at this store. I had a VERY bad experience with another Specsavers store a number of years ago and was very apprehensive about going. I am so glad I went. AMAZING staff, so efficient, friendly and was able to afford 2 sets of glasses with only a gap of $110! I had been putting off getting new glasses for years as I was quoted $700 just for reading glasses from my regular Optometrist. SO HAPPY!
