Dr. Steven Hatzikostas

Steve delivered my first baby 6 weeks ago. I cannot recommend him highly enough. He offers the highest standard of care and has an easy going bedside manner. Throughout all the pregnancy appointments and the birth, it was a stress free experience. We loved that Steve gave us his mobile number to call anytime and that he would be there whenever bub decided it was time - old-school commitment!

Steven has delivered both of my daughters, and could not have asked for a better experience with both pregnancies and births.
He is very thorough and is always concerned your baby is in good health. I had CMV during my second pregnancy (fortunately everything was ok), and he took the time to make extra phone calls to other medical professionals and had several follow up phone calls and consultations with me at no additional cost - it was just part of his duty of care and he genuinely cares about helping you bring your child into the world healthy and safely.
With his years of experience he has an extensive professional contact list and wealth of knowledge.

I could not recommend Steve more highly. He is an expert in his field and extremely thorough, he always explained everything to me so that I could make informed decisions with his guidance. He cares deeply about his patients and nothing is too much trouble. I felt very safe and well looked after throughout my pregnancy and birth!

Best Ob/gyn in Melbourne. I felt safe and looked after. My pregnancy was not smooth but I felt very secure. Dr Steve had my best interest and he made sure I was aware of what was going on. He educated me in all aspects of my pregnancy. I would do it all over again because I trust my life with Dr Steve.

Truth be told, six weeks later you can barely see it, I barely felt it after a few days and I have complete confidence that it was done with absolute precision. I chose Steve Hatzikostas as my OB for my first pregnancy as many of my friends had highly recommended him. I went back to Steve last year again when I fell pregnant again with my twins, as I knew first hand, what a brilliant OB he is. Why?! Above everything else, he's exceptionally knowledgeable, patient, responsive, approachable and thorough. The baby making factory is closed for me, but I will continue to recommend Steve to anyone who has a future need for a great OB.

Words cannot express how grateful we are to Steve after the delivery of our beautiful daughter. As first time parents, we were nervous and had no idea what to expect. Steve put our minds at ease and guided us throughout the pregnancy with warmth and care. His knowledge is vast and we can't imagine what we would have done without him! I recently had my second child with Steve as my obsterician, and delivery via a planned c-section. I had the best possible delivery and a quick recovery despite my complicated history. Steve is an amazing ob/gyn, he always took the time to answer questions I had in great detail, his knowledge is incredible and he has a very calm demeanour about him that certainly helps during pregnancy.

I wish there was a better word than ‘Thank You’ to truly express the gratitude in my heart for the exceptional care you have provided me during my pregnancy. ‘Thank you’ seems such a small offering in return for a ‘Gift of New Life’ you have bestowed upon us.

Steve is dedicated to his patients by always being available to ensure you feel supported, informed, and at ease through every stage of the pregnancy, delivery and post care. Both pregnancies I had Steve and knew I was in caring hands with him and the office team of Gina & Jo. Nothing is ever too much trouble and would highly recommend him.

Steven is absolutely amazing OBE and I am glad I found him. I was so worried being first time mum. Now I am a proud mother of my son born naturally as Steven made me so confident prior to delivery. Definitely recommend him for stress free delivery.
