Heide Kitchen

Patrick and I were lucky enough to have our wedding at Heide in December 2023. We honestly cannot give more praise to the Heide kitchen team! They were incredible and so accommodating from day one when we were looking for the perfect venue to even days after the big day.
Cassie was brilliant at helping us create the most amazing wedding and was a wealth of knowledge on events.
Everyone commented on how the Heide team made them feel like they were the most important person in the room so it wasn’t just our experience as the bride and groom!
Our celebrant was full of praise for the Heide team on how well organised they were.
It poured with rain on the day and we had to invoke the wet weather plan but it was just as beautiful as if it was out in the grounds and the Heide team were very accommodating.
Thanks so much for helping us create one of the best days of our lives.

We had our wedding here at Heide in November 2023 with the ceremony held on the grounds and the reception at Heide Kitchen. We were in contact with Cassie who was so lovely and helpful from the get go. Cassie wasn’t there on the day but the team who were took such good care of us and Cassie continued to be in contact despite being off site! There was rain forecast but the team knew how desperately we wanted the ceremony outside so they set up both inside and outside options for us! The whole team really went above and beyond and we are so grateful. The venue is so perfect for a wedding, it was everything we hoped for and more and looked so lovely and so different to how it looks during regular cafe hours. The food was stunning, we had so many compliments and it felt so special. We would absolutely 10000% recommend Heide kitchen and the team to organise, manage and cater any and all special events! *amazing photography attached is by @igotyoubabeweddings

I didn’t realise one of the most delicious Cesar Salads is only 5 minutes away from my house.

Visiting from Geelong, mum and I stopped by for a late lunch mid week. The staff were quick to seat us and ensure we had a drink before running us through the menu options.
We ordered the pork cutlet and steak (after hearing the table next to us discussing how delicious their's was) and were not dissapointed. Heide kitchen is the perfect example of simple food done incredibly well.
Mum and I had entree, main AND desert and couldn't fault anything. It made for a great day out, and we will absolutely be back.

Hi Cassie and the Heide Kitchen team! We had our wedding reception at Heide Kitchen on the 21st January 2023 and had an absolutely incredible afternoon and evening. Cassie was so responsive and organised in the lead up to the event and we felt confident having her at the helm of the day. So grateful too! She corresponded with all our vendors and everything ran smoothly and to schedule. Cassie and all staff were very attentive to us (the bride and groom) as well as all of the guests. Heide Kitchen looked absolutely beautiful on the night and the meal was delicious. The ceremony site (oak tree) was perfectly set up and guests remarked on the delicious canapés. There was an excellent selection of drinks and each guest was personally asked what they would like to drink during table service. Thank you to the staff member who kindly offered to store my bouquet during the professional photos. No detail went unnoticed by us. We would not hesitate to recommend Heide MOMA and Heide Kitchen for your wedding and reception. A truly unique and special venue in the heart of Melbourne. Absolutely beautiful grounds too. We had such a wonderful brunch at Heide Kitchen. The food was good. Blown away by the fantastic number of vegan/vegetarian options. Presentation of the food was top notch. My mocha was beyond good. Reasonably priced menu. Service was very good and friendly.

Had a lovely lunch today with a work colleague whom I had not seen in a long time. Bianca our friendly and attentive server was absolutely fabulous accomodating our move to the outside courtyard and seating us at a lovely table overlooking the garden. We enjoyed a delicious lunch, drinks and coffee. Heide Kitchen is the perfect place to catch up. Thank you Bianca and Heide Kitchen

We had an excellent New Years Day brunch in the restaurant at Heide Kitchen. Delicious and beautifully presented food. The service was superb, staff very attentive, friendly and efficient, not just with us but with other tables around us. Very clean. Very organised.
Highly recommend.

I really enjoyed brunch at Heide Kitchen about two weeks ago. I’m still thinking about the delicious food and the excellent service. The chef’s new menu is amazing. This kitchen is setting a high benchmark for a quality garden to table experience. It was a rare find to stumble across a reasonably priced meal delivering on taste and creativity. The team are passionate and proud of the food they serve. Thank you - it’s an oasis in a desert.

Great food !!! From the garden to the table, food is simple but taste is fantastic, simple means absolutely fresh and definitely made with love, had a lovely meal! Will definitely come back!!

Great service on a very busy day (31 Dec). Really enjoyed the buttermilk schnitzel and the excellent wines.

We enjoyed Sunday brunch. Being a Sunday meant that it was busy, but we were served promptly and the food arrived without too much delay.
The food and coffee were all perfect. I had eggs Florentine and would gladly have it again. My companions enjoyed their meals. Nothing needs to change.

I was very pleased with the experience I had here yesterday. At lunch the floor was almost totally booked but a great effort was still made to seat me and my friends just for a coffee. We sat in the roofed area outside and had coffee orders taken the second we sat down! The coffee that arrived had a very easy-drinking and rich taste, enjoyable with sugar or without (I do recommend their long black). I did see a very long line at the entrance for takeaway coffees however. If looking for something to go, perhaps a less busy location would be better… but if sitting in, the service and presentation alone are worthwhile… and some great Melbourne coffee too.

Heide Kitchen was the perfect location for our wedding. The food was absolutely fabulous. Cassie and the team were an absolute delight to work with and everything ran seamlessly from the toasting drinks by the Oak Tree to canapés in the patio to the sit down family style meal and then roaming deserts. Guests are still talking about the food weeks after the wedding! I would whole heartedly recommend Heide and Heide Kitchen as the perfect wedding venue.

Lovely cafe in beautiful grounds, friendly and helpful staff and tasty and well priced menu.

Great experience, Bianca and Kate made my time exceptional, coffee was amazing, food was yummy.

My wife and I had lunch here on Saturday. The food and service were first class. Lamb shoulder was so tender, john dory was cooked to perfection and the burnt cheesecake(thats what its called) was delicious. We will definately return.
