This was after searching for a dog friendly cafe with a view and we certainly were not disappointed the view is quite special, the food is excellent with ample varieties of home made cakes and pastries to choose from, the coffee is perfect and cold drinks are absolutely yummy, the atmosphere is incredible with great service and a log fire to keep you warm,I especially loved the Mushroom, caramelised onion, brie & garlic, sage butter toastie.
We will be back with family and friends soon.

Babette and all her staff run a tight establishment! This cafe is a staple of the Adelaide Hills, and a definite require on your journey through, or for a casual Sunday outing. There are multiple dishes, especially the cakes, to suit any pallet, and they go down well with a perfectly brewed coffee. Soak up the atmosphere, take a walk in the downstairs creek (with playground), or sit inside and enjoy the bustling interior. Great quality food, great price and great service. This cafe really does tick all the boxes!

Great service, friendly and good quality food and groceries all locally acquired. Relaxing along the side the road with classic automobiles and motorbikes cruising by and some stopping in.

A lovely owner who has the right blend of business and customer service.

Duck out the back down the stairs to the creekline and soak in the relaxing nature... and grey geese ignore your presence 😃

You must visit

I NEED to spend more time here!
The atmosphere was so inviting and the smells of freshly baked goods that were layed out on the table were simply tantalising!
Super friendly staff, great tasting food and plenty of space for the family to grab some food and have a picnic!
Make this one a stop on any road trip in the hills!

My favourite cafe in SA. The most beautiful setting, I hope the setting never changes, it’s very special. Fresh and delicious food. Love the off menu food specials and the selection of local produce for purchase/support of local growers. Babette has always made the most incredible mulled wine, I’ve had mulled wine in a number of states and cities across AUS and hers is by far the best I’ve found!
Shout out and RIP to beautiful Patch ❤

Cafe - 5/5 ample seating, ample parking and great customer service. I'll be very honest! We did wait over an hour for our meal which turned out that they forgot about us. However, there were empathetic, apologetic and quickly made our meals with free coffee.

Meal - 5/5 Eggs Benedict with smoked salmon. Eggs poached to perfection!

Coffee (Small Strong Latté) 5/5

OMG, fantastic coffee and even better food. The owner here is passionate about her home made food, cakes pies and service. Passed through many times and always full and now I know why.

We stopped in for lunch today at Cudlee Cafe and it was beautiful - we had the soup of the day (lamb and vegetable) and the Reuben toastie, both just good honest home-style (but delicious) meals, exactly what we were after on a rainy day. Followed by a tea for two and a piece of rhubarb and raspberry cake which was lovely and moist. Good value too. 5/5!

Always drove past here and never had the time to stop by for some reason or another but I stopped by here for a quick lunch today and it was lovely! Really stunning location for a coffee and very friendly staff. Their food was delicious and good proportion. My boyfriend also bought me a gorgeous bouquet from there, they have a range of locals goods for sale there. Very cosy and adorable. :)

Really lovely cosy place. Nice staff, beautiful setting - the balcony, creek and playground out the back are lovely. The Ruben sandwich and Hamburger were excellent.

Edit: 2 years later, we keep coming back whenever we're in the area. Still a really great place! Dog friendly outside, and lots of space down near the creek if it's busy and you want to be away from others.

A lovely little gem on the banks of Cudlee Creek. Wonderful food and beverages. There can be a bit of a wait for food sometimes (due to the popularity of the venue, particularly over the weekends) but the picturesque surroundings make time just disappear. While out exploring the Adelaide hills, do yourself a favour and stop in. You won't be disappointed and I dare say you'd become one of the regulars.

So so beautiful, was a lovely place to visit. Gets busy around lunch time but it can handle the load, very rustic great for family and kids with lots to do. Has its own playground lots of grass to run and play. Coffee was very nice and service times not too bad. Plenty of seating inside and out. Only issue is there is only one toilet for girls and one for boys and its not doesn't really accomodate for those with disabilities. Rest rooms are down stairs didn't see ramps and the inside is very 'cosy' not wheelchair accessible.
