We went to the pub with a group of 24 people and everyone enjoyed their meals. We had chicken schnitzel (the best ever) and crumbed prawns - both meals were very delicious. We highly recommend this restaurant.

There isn’t a visit that has gone by where I haven’t smiled when entering the front bar of the Coobowie Hotel. The owner, Cheree, knows what beer you’re having after a round or two and has it ready to go when you’re ready for another. Prices are the best down this end of the peninsula. Food is always great and you’re always going to meet some of the amazingly friendly locals in the front bar any day of the week. This is a truly great country pub and well worth stopping in at.

I can't remember the last time I had a meal out and thoroughly enjoyed every element on all 3 plates. The scallop entree was amazing. The calamari schnitzel with garlic prawns sauce was an equal winner. The fisherman's platter was all locally caught and thoroughly enjoyable as well. Thank you money well spent

On a recommendation following a random meeting we decided to give the Coobowie Hotel a go for dinner. We were not disappointed! All of the meals arrived quickly and were piping hot.
The scallops were amazing, the chicken schnitzel likewise.
The bangers and mash were superb, plenty big enough serves all around.
The staff were friendly and efficient.

Coobowie is located towards the bottom of Yorke Peninsula and is a very short drive from Edithburgh and Sultana Point, and not too far from Yorketown.

The hotel, located across the road from the seafront has a busy front bar, a reasonably quiet dining room and a second area for large groups.

Attended with 3 others. Two ordered the Calla Coobowie. A schnitzel made with calamari with a choice of prawn chilli save or prawn garlic sauce. I ordered King George whiting and the 4th meal was an entree sized garlic prawns on rice with pappadam. No complaints from any of us. The fish and calamari is served with fries. My husband and I shared our meals.

Great lunch at this pub, Sheree the publican only one working, was under the pump but was able to give fantastic customer service and made sure we enjoyed our lunch and the wine she suggested
Small town pub hospitality at its best, check it out if down on Yorke Peninsula 😎

The Calla Coobowie Schnitzel was divine. Hot off the press...and I love really hot food. Other half had the chicken schnitzel and declared it the best by far of any of the many he has tried over many years. Great atmosphere, friendly staff and good prices. Highly recommend.

Love this little pub. Always meet some nice characters for a chat, the beer is cold and Sherree, the Publican, is a nice lady. Always friendly service, and the food is good too.

Wonderful meal, I had the scallops and they were excellent, my wife had the King George Whiting and it was equally good. The staff was on the run as the restaurant was quite busy, but we never felt neglected. We will come here again when we return to the Yorke Peninsula.

Got the seafood basket and was really good, good value for money. Meals didn't come with salad but garnish (a few salad leaves and orange slice)

Excellent pub with everything you could ever want. Great in-house and takeaway prices, multiple stubby specials ($5!). Sheree (owner) and Michael (all-round good guy) were both very lovely.

What a great little pub. Fantastically friendly staff and head and shoulders the best chicken schnitzel with Dianne sauce I have ever had.
Will be back here again.

We spent the week in Coobowie and went to this little pub two days in a row! Both Micheal and Sheree were so good to us! Really affordable drink prices, outstanding service, we spent the whole day here one afternoon. What a great small town pub!

I found myself in a situation where I hadn't eaten dinner before 8.30pm and my only option was looking like a long drive back to Adelaide. I thought I would try my luck and pop into Coobowie pub. The kitchen was closed, lights off and they were just about to close the doors but the owner Sheree was kind enough to welcome me in and make me some toasted sandwiches. On top of this the food here is always delicious and all of the staff and residents are friendly country people. 11/10 service and will be coming back!
