This is the only lime stone kiln remaining from the ancient times. The lime kiln and jetty gives a very beautiful view. There’s ample enough parking both at the first level parking and lower level parking which is at the beach itself. If you park at the first level parking which is by the road, you can climb down using stairs to get to the front of the lime kiln. This is actually the location pointed at the Google maps. There’s public accessible toilets too. A lot of people get here for fishing and boat riding. Not too busy but it’s lively.

Lovely and last remaining example of the local early 1900 lime burning industry.

What else can I say??? This is where I live... Love it here. Started in 2007 buying a shack now living here permanently. Nowhere else I wanted to spend my retirement but here in Wool Bay.
It's a little gem, very cosy, friendly people with a good fishing spot one of the best in the Yorke Peninsula.
Planted more than 40 fruit trees in 2007 and every season from December to May, I have plenty of fruits. Selling most of it and in summer time people are always looking to buy baits like GENTS so I started to breed GENTS for sale, if I am around. I normally travel away with my caravan. So if fishing or squidding is what you're after.
Wool Bay, is the go. Not far from Pt. Giles, Edithburgh and Stansbury, Klein's Point as an alternative place if Wool Bay is a bit quiet.
Come and visit and enjoy WOOL BAY.
