I recently purchased my first fly fishing setup from Mick at Aussie Angler after a recommendation from a Guide I was on. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Mick was extremely helpful, didn't try and sell me anything I didn't need or try and steer me to the most expensive items. I now have everything I need to get out on the water and hopefully catch plenty of fish! To top it off everything was express posted to me so I had it in time for the long weekend. Highly recommend these guys.

Very happy with the service I received when purchasing some fly tying equipment yesterday from the Aussie Angler. I have been searching for quality fly tying scissors, as all scissors look the same on the internet all with glowing reports , I was looking for some professional advice to sort out a few issues on the subject.

The shop carries the biggest selection of fly fishing/tying equipment that I have seen in a while (as well as other fishing gear next door) and are willing to post items free of charge. I’m sure I’ll be back…

Always great personalised service in shop or by phone/ website. I love the selection of supplies especially flies and fly tying material. I really trust these guys and their honestly when tossing up options is appreciated.

Called the store looking for neo prone waders for duck season and they were the only store that had my size and even said they could order me in a pair if they didn't. Great customer service and very friendly and easy to deal with. Definitely going back

I'm a dedicated 'regular' at Aussie Angler, largely because of owner Rick Dodson, but the rest of their crew are excellent and extremely knowledgeable, as well. The shop is always very well stocked. They go way WAY out of their way to help me...every time! The whole staff is there because they so obviously love fishing...far more than to 'make a sale'. Best tackle shop I've EVER encountered, by far.

Got to be the best fly shop in the state. They have helped me out a few times now and have never let me down. Quality gear, great team that are willing to talk it out to help you select exactly what you need and their online services are brilliant. 10 out of 5

The staff are extremely knowledgeable and helpful. They are clearly passionate about all things fly fishing and keen to help, even if it’s a small thing like like how to improve your setup on your pack or vest. Additionally, they never try and upsell and will work with you and your gear no matter what level you are at.
