Such a beautiful forest - best place of the Great Ocean tour. It's so quiet to walk among these trees and leaves

Very nice and beautiful. I didn't notice Amy rubbish. Way less busy than the East side equivalent at cement creek, but seems way smaller than East side. East side equivalent is structured, with all the trees lined up in specific order. But here in the otways it's Moree free form, with the trees following no particular order. I think there's pros and cons. The East side gives a sense of wonder cause you ponder how humans where able to design such consistent planting patterns for the trees. Whereas in otways you marvel more at how everything seems like how nature intended things to be, just natural and organic with no clear design, just mother nature doing her thing without interference. I like both for different reasons, but overall I prefer otways as I can explore and expect new things. East side it's all the same and novelty wears off quick.

Absolutely worth the drive. Road up can get quite narrow. Would recommend driving during the day. The rest of Binns road is a gravel road (about 10km) till great Ocean road

This is one of the best attractions in Otway, I have only seen these trees in Warburton Victoria before. These trees are not as thick as in Warburton but still you will feel the beauty of these trees. These are tall majistick trees in the deep forest Its nature is everywhere so it is a great place to come and relaxing. Access via bins road just after hopetoun falls, no public toilet just a bench for rest. Very limited parking so you might have to park on the road, Don't pass away the bridge after this point as nothing after that, it's a gravel road from here and onwards.

Beautiful scenery. The Redwoods weren't planted in a structured grid, like in other places, so it feels much more natural and enjoyable. Great place for a walk in nature, or even picnic.

When you do the Great Ocean Road, you must go to this little spot in Cape Otway National Park. It is a small picnic ground with some massive Californian Redwoods beside a beautiful creek. Just walk on amongst them and "feel the serenity". Definitely a highlight.

The Californian Redwoods are a beautiful sight to see; if you're up for the windy drive on a thin forest road, you're in for a treat.
Standing beneath the trees, you feel like you're straight out of a Twilight movie!
Very beautiful ambience and a stunning area to visit.

This place is only a few minutes drive from Hopetoun Falls car park. The car park is slightly larger than Hopetoun and there are 2 picnic tables just off the car park. The entire area is unsealed so watch out for dust thrown up by cars moving around. The Redwood trees are amazing. They do not look much from the car park, but once you get in, it is a completely different world altogether. As we walk further in, the temperature drops a bit and with a babbling brook running through the redwood forest, it makes for a really lovely place, very serene and peaceful. The majestic trees that reach up to the skies made us feel like midgets. We walked quite deep into the forest and thoroughly enjoyed the time there. It is a lovely place to find some peace and just enjoy nature, something a bit different.

So peaceful! I Walked through the Redwood forest barefoot as it was so soft on the ground, The trees are like skyscrapers all around. Just as you walk into the forest take a left and you can walk through a crystal clear creek which is where hopetoun starts I believe. If you stop by for hopetoun be sure to drop into the redwoods and allow about half an hour to really take it all in.

Its good place to take a picture. To find this place is very easy. The toilet little far from the park area and dirty.

Just on the side of the road, easy to spot. 110m height trees. Cute little stream just on the side. Amazed at how huge the trees are , for reference is a picture of us before the trees . The pictures cannot show the beauty of this place.

The view over the redwood is simply amazing.
Inside the small area where the redwood stands, the surrounding temperature is cooler and there is a small river stream beside the park.

There are 2 tables before the entrance where visitors can have their meal there.

The parking is just a walk away from the redwood & there is toilet just opposite the road.

What a gorgeous little place, the Californian Redwoods are only 90yrs old and doing well in the Australian Cool temperate climate in the Otway Ranges. I enjoyed being amongst these giants whom seem to have mysteriously healing powers, that soothe the soul and l only wish l could come back and see them again in another hundred years. Hopefully this small pocket will be preserved forever until they have a natural demise.
The trek on the way is fraught with slippery conditions if wet, it gets foggy too, as its a relatively high humidity area due to the coast not being far away.
It is advisable you stick to road signals as tracks are narrow and sometimes only one car wide, especially if coming from the Skene's Creek area.
So far this has been my favourite spot and a must see. On a sunny day bring your picnic lunch and grab one of the two tables available. Please also be mindful of the environment as there is no toilet facility, so it was sad to see toilet tissue, that wasn't buried..ewwwh! Also don't bother stopping at Beech Forest for a loo stop, the toilets were downright disgusting. All overflowing, clogged with toilet tissue and definitely a health hazard. Hang if you have to go and make it to Gellibrand Park.

Beautiful forest, not as busy as it’s Warburton counterpart. Lots of exploring to do if you’re up for a wonder. We went on a rainy day but under the cover of the trees we didn’t get wet. The road is not paved and is made of loose rocks so you have to drive slow. Overall worth the drive out if you’re staying on the great ocean road

Woooootttsss!!!!! Bloody amazing place!!!! Will be back again in winter! What an awesome and tranquil place to just chill. It's a long and narrow drive to get to this place. You'll be extra careful when you drive. But there are others who somehow had no sense to adhere to the speed limit in these narrow and gravel roads.

A must visit when you've been to 12 apostles multiple times
