Beautiful redwood forest with magnificent views of the towering redwoods. The entrance is just right by the parking area. The forest is fairly large so there’s plenty of space to take nice photos with the trees. Getting here requires driving through a narrow windy dirt road uphill. Drive carefully and be prepared to make way for vehicles from the opposite direction.

A tranquil, beautiful place to visit. The trees are massive, bring a wide angle lens when you visit! The road in is very winding and narrow, so please drive carefully. Across the road from the parking lot is a toilet. And speaking of parking lot, if it's been raining recently, it will be very muddy, so bring some car floor mats.
This place is definitely worth a visit 👍😄

This place was easily accessible for all ages and abilities, probnot suitable for wheelchairs, due to the packed down leafy ground, too soft for tires.
The views are incredible, you can't look down. You feel like you are in lord of the rings set, or robin hood movie! It's cold , so wear a windbreaker. Plenty of parking. We were here april 27th 2024.
5 stars.

Serene, Relaxing and absolutely beautiful. It’s a bit of a drive up the mountains but definitely worth it. Also went to the waterfalls 2 min away from the forest and loved it!

We went to a nearby waterfall so thought we would check out The Redwoods while in the area. Hands down highlight for me. Was giving Fern Gully/Land Before Time vibes, (yes 80's child). Just loved it! So interesting how straight they grow. Nice shade for photos in the afternoon.

Very interesting walks and you want to keep walking further to explore. Easy steps and great exploration into the nature.
Compared to the warburton east redwood forest, this one definitely is more engaging for your exploring minds and is bigger as well. This will make you feel you are within nature whereas the one in warburton is more maintained by authorities and gives more of a city based one.
Will go again surely!!

AMAZING and a must go in my view! It’s so different to what you see in the area (waterfalls, beaches, rainforest…).
The trees are so tall and it’s tranquil walking through them, I loved it!
I don’t the photos don’t do it justice.
Parking is a 10-20 meter walk.

You really need to put this on your list. A small plantation of Redwoods. They are now about 107 yrs of age (teenagers).
Was also a home/camp to displaced European refugees after WW2 in 1948
Not a huge area, so easy to meander through the trees and look at the creek.

Beautiful scenic spot, and definitely worth the 2½ hour drive. Perfect for a picnic or a day out.

Magical place. Although it's not organised the same way as the redwood forest in Warburton, I enjoy the more natural wild feel of the otways redwood forest. It's also waaaay less packed then the east side version, making it heaps easier to take uninterrupted photos. Also, the walk is a bit more adventurous and good for those with keen adventure spirit. Highly recommend for those who lose nature hikes.

Stunning! You have to see it for yourself.

Plenty of parking and wheelchair accessible (however there is no path and it is bark ground covering so it’s not wheelchair friendly)

Limited phone reception

After a scenic drive to Beech Forest in the Otways we turned off to Hopetoun Falls and continued to the end of the sealed road to the redwood forest picnic area. The forest area may be small but the trees were mighty and the atmosphere magical -like wandering into an enchanted valley. Bubbling stream, tree ferns and silence! Li

A bucket list item. Just spectacular. The sense of awe standing amongst these giants was incredible. The photo opportunities are endless.

Tip: make sure you follow the signs for Otway National Park before Apollo Bay (the road after Apollo Bay is shared with logging trucks, so is pretty rough...🤦‍♀😅)

Breathtaking view of the mighty trees. Good walk in there. Gravel road taking up there. Easy for 2wd as well. Good for kids and pics.

It is a great place to escape city rush, especially on hot days for a fresh and cool atmosphere.

It was planted with hundreds of tall and straight Californian Redwoods. It is definitely an amazing and tranquil forest for a rest, walk, or chill out. Be prepared as it could get muddy after rain.

We normally stop by when we are in the area or on the Great Ocean Road trip.

Very peaceful and beautiful Redwood forest. Much less busy compared to Warburton and the forest is adjacent to the stream allowing for creative photos hanging over the water. The trees provide a calm, serene canopy from the heat as well. Perfect spot for a cute picnic or to read a book.

Loved the redwoods, it’s of course very beautiful and scenic but try and visit on a weekday or perhaps very early in the day. On weekends (especially in the afternoon) it can be a little crowded.

If you aren’t a very confident driver like myself the drive may be a little daunting, much easier to access from the North than south, I would recommend travelling down from Colac rather than up from Apollo Bay through the forest (roads are slightly more treacherous).

All in all good family fun, after rain it can be a little muddy and slippery. Bring a spare pair of shoes you don’t mind getting dirty.
