Big Rock Car Park, You Yangs

Perfect little loop walk for families with kids. Plenty of rocks to climb, little tree huts scattered about, bbq and toilet facilities.

Fun part for the kids to explore and plenty of space around for a bbq / picnic. We parked here first and then did the flinders peak walk afterwards. Nice spot

Beautiful You Yangs, free for all to use, can BBQ on an open wood fire - what's not to love? Great RC rock crawling area, too!

Awesome place to go for hiking or biking. One can go with whole family and enjoy. There are toilets, tables as well. Amazing location within an hours driver from Melbourne

The place was so good. You can make bbq s.!!! So calm and nice place. One of the best place to hang out near Geelong. Nice view point. 2.3 km walk to the top. You can ride a mountain bike in there.
There is a big rock on the way to top, you can climb on top of it. Nice view of the Geelong Bay and Shell refinery can be seen. Spring time is good time to visit. Get the lara exit from M1 and can be reached pretty quickly. You will find a road 2 or 3kms straight..... 😎😎😎 i don't need to say more about that. If you know, you know.

Easy parking with an amazing view. I love being up above the trees. There are toilets here as well if you need to go. I have not had to so I can't say if they are well kept. I just love the view from up there. There are tree top in every direction with the lands below visible here and there. There are also walking paths you can take if you so desire. A good place to bring the family.

We started our journey from Big Rock car park and it was an amazing experience walking for 3 hours in the Turntable walk. It takes us through most of the mountainous area with great views of Geelong. The walk to the Flinders Peak was a different experience as we had to walk for 2 hours helping my 3 year old, climbing through steps and enjoying the 20C Spring whether. If you planning to take the kids, check the temperature and the wind beforehand. If you take Turntable walk, make sure you return to the car park where your car is as there are couple of car parks in the way.
