Couldn't have asked for a better experience. The cottage feels so homely and Kate is just a magnificent host. Loaded us up with great information about the area. We didn't eat out once due to the cottage being so well fitted out and it was perfect weather every night for a BBQ and of course the obligatory bottle (or two) of red from the best Shiraz area in Victoria. It was so peaceful and quiet with plenty of bird life and kangas visiting all weekend. We did three nights and will definitely be back. Oh and to finish off, the bed and pillows were like heaven (and this is from someone with serious back problems). Kate you blew us away with this gem. Look forward to seeing you in the not too distant future - Annette and Flash 🥰🥰

Our weekend at Fallow was such an amazing experience. Super comfortable bed, great fireplace with ample wood, delicious breakfast and beautiful surrounds. As far as tranquil and relaxing stays go, Fallow is up there in the top 2 percentile. Kate and Martin are great people and supply you with everything you need for a great stay.

A gorgeous cottage & host. The perfect place to enjoy Heathcote & surrounds. We very easily walked into the main town & on a great little bush walk up to The Viewing Rock (even saw a wallaby!)
Fallow cottage is in the beautiful space where you feel surrounded by the natural bush.
We also took a short drive to both Lake Eppalock & Mt Ida.
Would definetely stay again!!

This is the perfect place to unwind and enjoy the many surrounding wineries. Kate is a lovely, warm and hospitable host. The cottage is cozy, comfortable and fully equipped with everything you need. The fireplace and supply of chopped wood is perfect for the cool nights. The personal touches like handmade local soap and local breakfast produce make the visit extra special. We’ll definitely visit again.

From our arrival to our departure this was by far our best Airbnb experience.
We were greeted by Kate and Martin on arrival. Kate gave us a tour of the property, explaining the history of both the property and the artwork. Kate is passionate about making your stay the best it can be. The touches such as supplies for your breakfast, local products (Kate is a great advocate for local products), great linen and toiletries show more than ever that Kate and Martin do care about your stay.
The environment about you is incredible, you are close to town but feel miles away. The cottage is an awesome wide open space making you immediately feel at home.
Kate has a great knowledge of the local area which was great for us as we had a great time at the surrounding wineries, brewery and art gallery.
We could not recommend Kate and Martin's place highly enough.

Delightful cottage, wood heater, fresh oranges for juice, bacon & eggs all supplied and much more by the lovely Kate. We had the most relaxing & enjoyable time here, Kate has thought of everything. Cottage is well located, loved waking up to all the bird songs. Highly recommend staying here we had 3 nights but next time will stay longer. So much to see in the area and Kate knows this area so well.
Thank you Kate & Martin for such a wonderful stay.
Cheers Annette & John

So amazing! Kate is an awesome host, so thoughtful, even before we arrived. She gave us a tour of the property which was really interesting, before showing us into the fabulous cottage.

The cottage is great, cosy but very spacious for 2 people. The comfiest bed!!!

Every little detail in the local produce Kate had left for us to try was fabulous... from the lush handmade soaps and lotions, to the delicious breakfast - with coffee, fresh oranges for juicing, local bacon, bread & eggs.

Kate gave us plenty of recommendations for the Heathcote area too. Couldn’t recommend enough! We loved it and will definitely be back to stay again :)

Me and my partner stayed at Fallow Heathcote for two nights from Boxing Day and had such a lovely time. Kate was an amazing host giving us all we could possibly need and more. Lovely little touches such as locally sourced bacon & eggs for our breakfast, local sparkling wine on arrival, local soaps for our shower, oranges to make fresh orange juice. She also provided us with information about what wineries, cafes and restaurants were open during our stay as many were operating holiday hours. Will defitely be going back when we can as it was too short for all we wanted to do! Cannot recommend this lovely little cottage enough.

This is lovely place to stay if venturing into Heathcote for a short stay. this was our second stay here
It is peaceful and has beautiful surroundings. the cottage is comfortable and has everything you could possible need for your stay and is a great central location for little adventures.
Kate is a marvellous host and you would be pressed to find one better. There isn't anything that she doesn't know about he area and is always ready t help you if needed. The breakfast she leaves for you to cook at your own pace is beautiful and fresh. i would highly recommend the Fallow for you next short break you wont be disappointed.

A perfect getaway and home base for exploring Heathcote's wonderful wineries. Kate was the ideal host, ensuring we had everything we needed and has great knowledge of the local area. Great amenities, well stocked kitchen and terrific breakfast supplied, including locally sourced bacon. So close to town and yet a world of its own in its own bushland. Full of character and highly recommended.

We had a lovely 2 night weekend stay at Fallow. Kate was a fantastic host and we really appreciated the excellent communication, the local tips for lovely walks, boutique wineries and excellent dining suggestions and the thoughtful extra touches like having a blazing fire going in the cottage to welcome us on arrival on a cold winter night and catering for my partners food allergies without prompting. We look forward to coming back to Fallow again in the future.

We spent 3 very happy nights in "The Fallows" cottage - it's spacious and spotless, the decor is uncluttered and very tasteful, the bed is super comfortable. The separate bathroom is great and the shower is 10/10. The kitchen has everything you could want. The location is beautiful and wonderfully quiet. Stoke up the fire, get your favourite music set up on the "Bose", pop the cork on a bottle of Heathcote's sparkling Shiraz and just bliss out. Kate is a lovely, gregarious and helpful host who has thought of everything. We just loved it. Just booked another 3 nights in springtime.

Kate and Martin are the finest of hosts. We stayed in the cottage, which was a delight - beautifully presented with quality fittings, furniture and bed linen. Yet, it is still respectful of the building and in keeping with the history of the surrounds. Birdlife is abundant, the garden is a delight and we made the most of the local food and wine offerings in the region. Highly recommended!

This place does not disappoint! Every little detail is thought of with magical touches throughout to make guests feel comfortable and welcomed. The cottage itself is stunning with beautiful furniture, art, bed linens, brick walls and fireplace. It is a luxurious place that is guilt free in that it is very echo friendly as well.
The grounds include picturesque country Victoria nature (we saw a family of kangaroos bouncing through the property several times), wonderful sculptures and night star gazing. It is a walk away from the main street making it easy to get to cafes, restaurants and groceries without driving. There are also lots of wineries and beautiful scenic spots a close drive away.
Kate was an amazing host, with knowledge of the local area and lots of good tips for hikes, produce and wineries. You can tell that she is passionate about what she does at Fallow Heathcote and goes above and beyond to create an enchanting experience. We will certainly be back in the future ☺
Thanks Kate,
Brad & Emma

Nestled in the bushland of Heathcote, the Follow Cottage is all you could ask for and more. The space is private, beautifully styled and very cosy. Kate is an exceptional host who is willing to go above and beyond. It's the thoughtful touches that make the cottage really special- the local produce is a bonus that we adored. The Fallows combines easy access to Heathcote & surrounds, while still maintaining the bushland feel. It was such a pleasure to listen to the birds or watch the kangaroos hopping at sunset while drinking a cup of tea. Thank you for an exceptional stay, Kate!

We can not recommend Kate and her accomodation highly enough. We stayed in a beautiful bush setting in a very comfortable cottage. It was well situated to take advantage of the picturesque Heathcote town centre and the boutique wineries. Kate is a wonderful ambassador to the area. She gave us numerous tips of what to do. This enhanced our five days here. Generosity and hospitality sums up our stay.

Lovely accommodation that's perfect for a weekend getaway. We loved warming up next to the beautiful wood furnace. Kate was an amazing host and made sure we had everything we needed and more. Bacon, eggs and fresh squeezed orange juice are available to make for breakfast. It's also, just minutes away from so many wineries. I can't recommend staying here enough.
