Badlands Bar

Went there for an event on Saturday night, it was really good, not my kind of music but the event was pretty good.
The design of the venue was really cool, theres a large bar outside where the outdoor area is almost completely covered with plenty of seating, tables and heaters. The inside looks like a cave and is very impressive. Large bar on one side with a sunken dancefloor in the middle with each ring outwards a few steps higher so wherever you are inside, you have a good view, with lots of lounges, seats and tables throughout. There was another small area to the side where a DJ was playing a different style with toilets available there too. There were a few toilets, some inside, some out, but the walls seemed like they needed to be cleaned.
Nice variety of small cocktails ($12), shots ($10) and pours however I feel like the shots and cocktails contained less than one standard drink because I didnt feel the burn of some of their shots, or the definition of shot has changed.
No food served that night, though they did have a few nibbles at the bar.
Shame to hear that such a different venue will be closing.
Would definitely come back.

I came here to watch End of Fashion with my partner, family, and friends. The venue has a great cavern-like aesthetic, and plenty of drinks on tap. The staff are very friendly and approachable, while the security stays on top of rowdy or inebriated patrons. I'd never been to Badlands before, but will definitely be coming back!

Such an awesome venue for live music. Sad that it will be closing down soon! So many great local and interstate bands have graced the stage here. The layout of the club is really good, the atmosphere too. And the beer garden area is very spacious. Badlands, why do you have to close!?!

One of my favourite bars in Perth! Love the vibe of the beer garden and the Ivy walls, and stepping into the Cave feels like entering another world sometimes. Great atmosphere and awesome lighting. Perfect place for an alternative night out and great staff and security who will take the time to help if you have an issue

Great live music venue with decent drink prices. Full elivated stage and epic outdoor area to chill between bands. Often have food trucks for a late night sneaky snack too ;)

Best bar in Perth for rock and metal acts. It's a shame they're forced to shut down as we've been going here for years and will miss this place. Hopefully we can get down for the last few shows - I've never seen Def FX so now seems like the best chance I'll get! All the best, Mark and gang.

Unique tucked away gem for live music. Holds up to 500 people. Good sound and for a smaller venue a number of different vantage points to watch from. Casual beer garden where you can get a drink and a feed before the Gig.

Went to listen to two tribute acts for Perfect Circle and Tool. What a unique and fun venue. Totally felt safe and surrounded by fellow music fans. This venue is tailor made for musical experiences for genuine fans.

Great little venue. Brilliant for a close intimate gig!

This is a great venue for live urban music. Great crowd and atmosphere!!! I want to perform here soon!

Been to multiple events here and hosted one ourselves. Our experience last year was a great one. The coordinator Ash went above and beyond at the time for our last minute birthday! She was super kind and her customer service was amazing, as well as the staff during the event:)

Great way to spend a Saturday afternoon.
Kids were welcome as well.

One of the best sounding venues in Perth. Good visibility of the stage from just about everywhere. Shame to see it go.

What can I say, it's a bar/club and they serve alcohol which in turn leads to what could be a good night.
The events that are now taking place are going to be drawing a crowd that is quite niche to a target audience but we're not complaining.
The outdoor area is large enough, and staff seem friendly and don't mind having a bit of banter!

Went to see Pink Floyd tribute band here which was phenomenal! Tickets were brilliant value, drinks were fair prices and the venue was really funky! Bar staff were very helpful and friendly which really helped to make the night perfect!

Amazing venue for rock and metal fans and not only.
Unfortunately due to the very high cost of liability insurance (real issue since 2022 for all the venues) Badlands will be closed shortly...

My Favourite Bar in Perth and the Emo nights are the best i look forward too them most every month , best staff , venue , food and drinks , great beer garden aswell , if I could become a VIP member I would , really love this place and bands live are great too , very comfortable place to hang out with your mates
