Commercial Hotel Heathcote

I was glad we booked because the dining room is well patronised. I chose the chefs special - ribs done in stout with potatoes and coleslaw. What a delicious feast it turned out to be with the juicy meat falling off the bones and loaded with flavour. My wife ordered the salt and pepper calamari and we enjoyed a bottle of Osicka Shiraz with it. Service was friendly form all the staff and some of the meals looked really big - just like pub meals used to be. Well done folks and keep that tip jar in the dining room.

Had a nice birthday lunch at the he Commercial hotel. The staff are friendly and helpful . They also went to the extra effort to supply birthday balloons / decorations on our table. Being close to end October , The pub was decorated with Halloween theme which I thought was quite entertaining . Prices and meals are very reasonable and good variety / size . Overall a very enjoyable experience

We dined at the Commercial Hotel at Heathcote for Saturday lunch. We were a party of 6. The food was nothing short of outstanding. I ordered a scotch fillet cooked blue. It was prepared and cooked perfectly. The service was outstanding and the hosts very attentive. Each member of our party was super impressed with the standard and quality of the food and service. Highly recommended. Well done to all. Will visit again

Food is lovely here and also have have half serves so great for me. Always stop there when we are driving through for lunch or dinner. Staff are lovely and there crispy fish is the best

An awesome local pub, we stayed in the accommodation out the back it was fine for our overnight stay. And well priced for 3 adults sharing a room.

Wow what a wonderful Pub, we were starving , meals were amazing, good old tradition pub feed with good value for money.
The staff were amazing, the atmosphere extremly welcoming. We will definitely come again. Kids loved the staff, and seeing the pictures being put on display. Definitely a 5 star for family pub to dine at with children. Highly recommended.

Stopped for a lunch here, Sunday, not crowded. Absolutely delighted with the wait-person who sat us down and asked "Have you been here before?" We hadn't. She then very efficiently indicated the location of the toilets, where to order meals, and how and where to get drinks. I felt very welcomed.

My curry chicken risotto was fabulous lots of extra cheese (just lacked the panache of some hand-grated Romano).
Lovely and tasty and the mushies were done to a turn. A great dish.

My wife had the fish-n-chips. 3 delightfully crispy-battered bands of fish. Ample plenty abounds.

Nice place. Well priced for quality and quantity.

Beautiful meal and great service.

Meal was superb. I had Chicken Camembert with vegetables. My son had Salt and Pepper Squid. Sons friend also had Chicken Camembert with salad and chips. Meals were huge. Service fabulous. Staff very friendly. Would have loved a cup of tea, but unfortunately they don't do hot drinks. Definitely will be going back. Highly recommend.

An enjoyable first visit to this pub. All meals were delicious (recommend the steak). Welcoming staff. Kid friendly, and I felt comfortable breastfeeding at our table. Hubby would have liked more than the two beers on tap. We will be back!

Didn't have anything to eat I will next visit. A couple of ice cold draught on the fly. Great atmosphere, definitely be back.

A true classic country pub offering a friendly welcoming atmosphere and a great vibe. The menu is extensive and all the meals we had in our group were excellent; definitely a few rungs above standard pub grub. Well worth a visit if you are in the region.

Stayed last night, the room was clean, bed was so comfortable. We had dinner and back for lunch today. Both meals were delicious, staff were so friendly and the owners Michael and Grant were so welcoming. Definitely recommend The Commercial 😊 10/10
