The Bank Heathcote

Very friendly and helpful staff. We got there after the kitchen had closed but they were still willing to do us up a nice platter to have with our wine. Very impressed.

Old bank now a wine tasting bar and casual restaurant with tasty and good plates of food and friendly staff but not expensive.

Great food! My partner had the turkey salad special which came with large chunks of turkey and perfectly cooked quinoa. I had the lamb burger special with polenta fries which was delicious and juicy, the fries were some of the crispiest I've ever had, adding some great texture. My only suggestion would be to flatten the burger pattie further to make it easier to eat and maybe offer a sauce with the fries or cover them slightly in parmesan for added kick.

The courtyard in the back was large, but could use a bit of TLC to make it fantastic. At this point, I'm nitpicking; this place satisfied me thoroughly and the wine tasting was an added bonus. Definitely recommend it.

Lovely atmosphere, decent service, not much variety in lunch meals but what we had was yummy (lamb pizza). Chocolate shop attached!
