Mt Ida Lookout

Amazing walk, the path to the look out is beyond the tower, and keep walking! It feels very off the beaten track, but you'll know when you reach the lookout!

Really nice lookout on a clear day can see a long way. Nice view of the King Valley below. Heaps of information signs about the naming behind the lookout and the history of the area

Amazing views of Heathcote around to Lake Eppaloch from a beautiful, rugged mountaintop. A short, steep walk from the car park to the fire tower, then keep going along the rough walking track to the rocky outcrops at the far end of the ridge for the best views.

Stunning Lookout over Lake Eppalock. At sundown the sun is in your eyes and it creates additional beautiful sparkles and dept to a photo. From the towers and Mt Ida go down bit farther as the unobstructed Lookout is few hundreds meters away. You will not be able to see anything at the mobile towers. The trail from towers is rocky so unfortunately not wheelchair friendly but at spring the yellow flowers grew between the grease and rocky outcrops and at sunset it looked magical.

Good spot to break up the drive between city and country

Nice views. Gets very cold up there in winter. Almost enough to snow. Nice walking track. And there's a track down the other side exclusive to 4x4s.

Amazing views, but you need to walk past the electrical tower carpark and into the scrub- make your own track

If it wasn’t for the gentleman in the fire tower explaining to us to wonder a little further along the track we wouldn’t of seen the view in all its glory.

Thanks to the legend in the fire tower for telling us to go past the electrical tower to see the 5/5 view! Magnificent views!! ⛰👨‍🚒

If you're willing to walk a little further through the rocky grounds past the electricity tower you're in for a beautiful surprise
