Brown Rice

The waiter's service made you feel like royalty eating here. The food was also very tasty, but be warned! You'll just be eating and suddenly bite on a chilli and your mouth will be filled with an explosion of spice that's hotter than the surface of the sun. We were also taking selfies and another customer photo bombed us which led to a wholesome interaction. All around a nice experience, would go again.

Brown Rice is an institution in the Kingston area. The food, service, and atmosphere are all outstanding.
My one little feedback would be that the Christmas lights should come down after Christmas, as it takes away from the satisfaction of the atmosphere.
The service was so friendly and very professional. All of the staff knew the menu back to front and could help with recommendations.

One of the best Thai restaurants this side of town! It’s not hard to find good Thai food in Melbourne - plenty of options in every suburb. Brown Rice is no exception - super delicious food and they have all of your favourites. But the dine in experience is something else. Staff are super nice, caring, and they’ll remember you and your name. The presentation of the dishes and drinks is also exceptional - just have a look at some of the photos and you’ll see what I mean!

As a bit of a food buff I don't write reviews unless there is a reason or message, and here it is one of great joy. Brown Rice must be (and admittedly I haven't tried them all, yet..) up with the absolute best of Thai restaurants in all of Melbourne if not Victoria. Firstly, the presentation is 12/10, they raise the bar for garnishing, the meals are so beautifully presented it's almost a crime to eat it. You just want to stare and soak it in. Yet when you finally do eat, the quality of taste and flavour washes over you in a tsunami of delight. Soo exceptionally tender and tasty. Polish this of with quality, friendly service and you can be sure of an outstanding night out at a very decent price. Well done team, can't wait to be back.

This place was a total surprise. Not only was it a nice vibe, but the food was incredible. It was presented so beautifully, even just a soda water looked like a cocktail. Everything tasted amazing.

Got takeaway from here for the first time this evening and it was delicious! The best Thai we’ve had in a long time and not oily like other local Thai restaurants.
We’ll definitely be back!

Probably the best Thai restaurant I’ve been too outside of Thailand. The food is great, but the presentation is amazing.

Amazing food. Good price point. Great staff. I've eaten my way through most of the menu over many visits and have not had a bad dish. Consistently delicious and great service. Need to book for Friday and weekend dinner as it's super popular.

I recently moved to the area and tried Brown rice out and was superrr impressed with their offerings.
The flavours are awesome etc, but what I found really impressive was the care and diligence that you could see was put into the food. It's all super fresh, the veges etc are cooked at different times to the rest of the dish, so you still get that crunchiness, with the soft meat. The side salad for chicken skewers is actually delicious and not just for show. Even their packaging is a cut above the rest. My new local fav 💕

Have had Uber Eats many times which is always great but recently dined in for the first time, and it was even better. Delicious food, wonderful staff and lovely ambiance. Can BYO wine as well (which I did), although they apparently have some wines available which are not on the main menu. Definitely my favourite local Thai.

Super tasty, great portion sizes and I felt it was quite similar to the food I had in Thailand!
The customer service is wonderful, the staff are super accommodating and friendly.
Both take away and dine in, was really impressive!
