3Thirds Cafe

I'm not usually one to write reviews, but I had to make an exception for this cafe. I went in for a quick breakfast on my way to Sydney, and I was blown away by the quality of the food and the service.

I ordered the bacon and egg muffin, and it was absolutely delicious. The bacon was perfectly crispy, the eggs were cooked just right, and the muffin was soft and fluffy. I also had a coffee, which was strong and flavorful.

The service was also excellent. The staff was friendly and attentive, and they made me feel welcome right away.

Overall, this was the best breakfast I've ever had. The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. I would definitely recommend this cafe to anyone looking for a great breakfast.

Beautiful breakfast served by friendly staff. We had Saugage egg muffin and big breakfast. My little one had a toasted banana bread, it was very moist and not too sweet. Coffee served still have room for improvement. Overall was a good breakfast. Because they are the only cafe at departure hall, you have no choice.

The quality at 3 third is not the best, and the food is definitely overpriced for what you get.

With that being said, they have a monopoly at Avalon airport for hot food so where else are you going to go? The rent would also be ridiculous I suspect so you can't blame them too much for having high prices.

The service was a saving grace though!

Food was OK. Staff could have been more polite. I didn't feel welcome at all. Will take my business elsewhere in the future.

Pretty sad that this is the best regional Vic can come up with, enough plastic for its own landfill site—simple problems with easy solutions available like cutlery.

If it was the only thing open at 1am on a long road trip in the middle of nowhere you’d be thrilled but for an airport this is pretty poor and no thought given probably since whenever it opened in 1991. Pies, chips and sandwiches looked on par with Werribee 7/11. Staff were fine I’m sure they’re doing their best.

Very slow service. Staff not friendly, no smiles here. Feeling there was no real care. Prices reasonable considering in an Airport international departure lounge, but I guess it should be as technically there should be no tax on the charge.

the food ordering and receiving is absolutely chaotic, you don't know which one is yours to collect, coffee to collect has no label, no receipt, no numbering, they ask you to come in 3 times for 1 order.

Note that this place has changed its name to Provineros. It certainly doesnt look like the service has improved. Horribly rude staff, arrived an hour before our flight so we had time for a coffee. Ordered, sat down and waited 15 minutes, buzzer hadnt gone off so i went to the counter to check. I was very rudely told to go and sit down and the buzzer will go off. Waited another 20 minutes, still no coffee, the plane has started boarding so i took the buzzer to the now empty bar and passed it to the dark haired lady and told her we have been waiting over 30 minutes and now its to late as we need to board. She responded by saying 'whats with the attitude?'.
I told her the service had been appaling since i walked in the door and to keep the money.

Its one thing to work in customer service and have a bad attitude and be rude. But when you add to that an inability to do even the most basic task required like a coffee shop making a coffee, you really are failing on all fronts

Have your dinner somewhere else if you’re coming to Avalon Airport. Total ripped off as it is the only cafe available after custom clearance. The fish and chips is soggy and tasteless. Fish was fishy and greasy, it taste like not fried using fresh oil. Same goes to chips, it was soggy. The gourmet chicken burger was served cold... overly disappointing and I write this review to remind myself to make myself full before going to the airport next time. It is overpriced too.

Outstanding bad. My small pizza is fully burned, and burned crust pieces stick on the back of my partners pizza. Pizza, sandwich and scone are served each in cardboard box and on a plastic plate with plastic cutlery. Unfortunately they don’t care about the food they serve + the taste is not good. They are also the only restaurant after the security check at the airport, they wouldn’t make it with concurrence in the same building anyway.

Coffee was mid at best, but I’d like to echo what other reviewers have said and say the staff was rude. Specifically the male brunette with the Karen haircut. I regret tipping. Avoid at all costs.

Very rude customer service, the old lady is racist, I asked for tomatoe sauce with hot chips and she just threw one on the counter. Disgusting behaviour.

We bought 2 hot beverages, barely sat down to drink it and they close the dining area. Could have told me they were closing soon. The only reason we bought drinks is so we could sit down seeing there’s no seating for visitors waiting for arrivals at Avalon airport.
