Malmsbury Reservoir Picnic Ground

Stunning location for a quick stop and rest. Toilets, BBQ, shelter and walks in the area. Spillway is flowing with recent rain and kids enjoyed the location. Well maintained and clean.

Gorgeous spot for a walk and a picnic. Nice gardens and amenities.

Excellent area for sightseeing and picnics with lots of gardens and lawn areas. Some amenities are available seats and toilets. Viewing platform for the spillway and plenty of trees and shade. Overall area is well maintained and very clean.

Lovely well maintained grounds with picnic tables under cover and under trees to keep away from the beating sun. Toilets and 2 electric bbqs. Walking tracks including across the dam wall. Very nice when compared to the park up at road at the Lauriston Dam wall. One suggestion- Coliban Water. Put up a decent sign on the Malmsbury-Glenlyon Road that says ‘Reservoir picnic ground’ as the current sign is easily missed and this place should be more popular and used than it is. Oh and also install a decent path from the reservoir to the Botanic Gardens - not the overgrown thing there at present.

Surprisingly good. Trees for shade and all the amenities.

Kayaking is allowed but the water access will require a long carry to get there. Open country surrounding means winds can pick up quickly. Picnic area looked nice and well maintained though.
