Kyneton Ridge Estate

I am so happy to discover new favorite winery in Macedon range where it takes only 1 hour drive from west side of Melbourne.

I was so impressed their high quality of hospitality once I stepped into the place.

Owner ( I think, very tall man) welcomed us and assisted us to take for tasting area.

Well manner & very friendly man who served us for tasting wine was sooooo knowledgeable and kindly took time to answer all our questions regard to their wine.

He wasn’t rush us at all for tasting compare to other wineries in the past where I visited in other places.

I enjoyed all wines ( I personally loved Shiraz.)
And I bought a bottle which is very reasonable price.

The view from the deck was beautiful.

When we were there, the cafe was closed, as there was big group booking , so next time, I love to try some food with delicious wine.

Highly recommend winery but be honest, I want to keep this place in secret ;)

Not only do Kyneton Ridge offer free wine tasting and they also serve delicious food and wine coupled with great views!

A little off the beaten track but so worth the visit. I highly recommend the warm apple cake with vanilla ice cream and extra caramel sauce! 😋

A beautiful place to spend an afternoon. Food was great, service friendly and efficient and the wines, delicious. The winery is in an unspoiled setting with a lovely outlook. A special treat was seeing the enormous kangaroo mob moving through the paddocks late afternoon. A very, very enjoyable experience.

Wow! What a fabulous place. The ambience, the owners, the vigneron, the staff, the location, the art gallery, the pet alpacas and sheep... everything was exceptional. Every mouthful of the vegan almond and blueberry cake with a zesty lemon sauce was a flavour explosion. This is way up my list of outstanding venues and I'll be back again soon.

Beautiful venue for a function. We enjoyed a wonderful 80th party with superb views, a fantastic selection of quality food and wines. Hosts Angela and Andrew and staff could not have been more accomodating. The cool indoor area was refreshing to start in the heat of late afternoon. With an evening finish on the verander overlooking the vineyards and countryside, we did not want to leave! Definitely a go to for us for any future gatherings!

Just came across this place by chance. I'm always looking for places that accept our dogs. Our boys were welcomed with water and lots of pats. We enjoyed a lovely lunch and I had the best Shiraz. We met the owners who were very welcoming and spoke about their plans for the future. We look forward to returning.

Very beautiful wineyard with a beautiful cafe. We had the cheese platter and the mushroom & pesto woodfired pizza and it was delicious. The wines are also very good.

Amazing place to relax and enjoy wine. Excellent service by owner. Staff wonderful. Also, food 😋 A plus , sweet omg A plus. I highly recommend kyneton Ridge Estate. Please don't forget to try my favourite wine Sparkling Shiraz. I keep coming back specials for this wine. Never tested wine like this before. I thank the owner and staff for wonderful hospitality.

If you come to Kyneton, you must visit this winery. The view was spectacular, the food was amazing, high quality wine options, and excellent service. The atmosphere of the venue was welcoming, clean and classy. During summer time, it would be so nice to sit outside and enjoy a glass of rosé. Highly recommended!

Highly recommend, food is always amazing and friendly and accommodating staff that clearly are passionate about providing a warm and welcoming environment. I have been here many times with my family, and will be there many times to come.

This winery is a must visit. Andrew and his family were so welcoming.

We went there 40 minutes before they were opened. They were getting ready for a busy 3 days of a long weekend. But the owners wellcomed us and attended our needs without rushing through. We also had a nice chat with the owners and they described everything in detail.
We had such a wonderful time at this family owned business. You’ll see some beautiful art work of their daughter who has also designed a label for one of the wine varieties.

We visited Kyneton Ridge last Sunday for lunch on our visit for the day from Melbourne. What a hidden gem! Such a lovely way to spend our Sunday afternoon with our friend from Bendigo.
Jean was only too happy to give us a very informative wine tasting by the fire on our arrival. We were then led to a cosy table overlooking the vineyard.
Delicious mezze platter and lamb pizza with an excellent sparkling Shiraz
(plus some to take home) followed by yummy desserts. We will definitely be back for another visit.

Beautiful family run winery with delicious wines. Enjoyed every wine and left with a dozen.

The hot bean dip is delicious also. Definitely must order but be careful as it alters the palate.

The service was spot on from the moment we walked in.We were greeted on entry by a beautiful young girl and asked what we were interested in doing.We decided to eat first and we weren't disappointed.We had three share plates including the Haloumi which was really good.After lunch we had a tasting of their red wines with the owner Andrew.Which we enjoyed and of course walked away with 3 bottles.We will definately be back to try their pizza options which sounded and looked amazing.

We recently stumbled upon Kyneton Ridge recently when looking for a place to have a recovery lunch after our wedding, not being from the area had some difficulty knowing where was good to look or try booking.
Was I glad I found them, from my first email with Angela to enquire about a booking to when we walked out the door a whole experience was nothing short of amazing.
The staff were all friendly and welcoming, their relaxed style dining over looking stunning views, food that was to die for oh and of course delicious wines. We cannot recommend this venue enough for a visit. If you have a larger group booking Angela and the team will look after you with ample food and drink. We could have quite literally stayed all day 🥂

Between the boulders, the great food, the wine and the family friendly (yet still very considerate) lovely company this location is a treasure.

A while a go you could stay the night but not at the moment post covid.

For the wine nerds like me - Patrick and Gretas new chardonnay offering today- 21st August 2022 - is outstanding for its price point of $30pb. Approachable and fun it will surely tempt newer palates without losing any of its chardonnay class. This tutti-frutti and pink musk sticks gorgeous aroma and usage of acacia and oak wood brings fresh acidity and balanced sweetness. A balanced palate and lovely finish arrive to the table with a a realisation that the Aussie revolution in chardonnay has been long overdue.

We enjoyed tasting all the different wines and learning about the area and which grapes are best for which wines! Home cooked food! The Apple cake was delicious service great! Highly recommended and we will definitely come again!
