Hunter Gatherer Winery & Cellar Door, Macedon Ranges

Wonderful selection of wines in a beautiful setting. We are visiting Kyneton and multiple people recommend Hunter Gatherer, and for good reason. We visited for the tasting and ended up spending our afternoon here chatting with the owner and staff, and this has been the highlight of our visit. We'll be recommending Hunter Gatherer to our friends and certainly be visiting again.

What a wonderful wine tasting!!! We were lucky enough to have Brian himself come out and explain all his fantastic wines to us. It’s was a truly rememberable experience! A must go for Macedon Ranges wine tour!

A wine tasting is by its nature not just sampling a drink. At its best it embodies place, personality and presence - it tells a story about the people who make the wine and about where it is made.

The French call place terroir, and that is important, but if you are like my wife and me the who, the connecting with the people who create the wine, their histoire, their passion, that is even more important.

So it is with Hunter Gatherer. Our recent wine tasting there exemplified everything that can make visiting a winery special. Our wonderful experience with Roslyn provided connection, background, soul, and of course the tremendous wine itself, which expresses Brian and Roslyn’s passion and talent perfectly.

This is a special place that everyone who loves the story of wine should visit. Highly recommended!

Roslyn is such a gorgeous inviting and knowledgeable person. Just who you’re after for a fun afternoon of wine tastings. Can highly recommend the wines - just incredible! ESPECIALLY the Malbec. Do yourself a favour and drop past for a chat, wine and good company!

Beautiful location and superb wine! Brian and family are great hosts. Their sparkling wines are a must try while offering a great selection of pinot, shiraz and reisling. Will definitely be visiting again.

We love hunter gatherer. The wines are amazing, especially the chardonnay and the sangiovese. The cellar door has spectacular views. Brian and Roslyn always make you feel welcome. We love it so much that we got married there.

One of our fave local wineries. Stunning views, and we love the Shiraz, Pinot and Chardonnay. Brian and Ros are super knowledgable and accommodating. Can't recommend enough!

A spectacular range of wines, all which are very enjoyable. The Shiraz and Sparkling Shiraz are particularly fantastic. Lovely hosts and nice quiet location.

A comprehensive selection of handcrafted wines, in a charming setting. My personal favourite was their 2013 Sparkling Shiraz.
