Mr Richard Pennington - Orthopaedic Surgeon

I underwent shoulder surgery in late 2019 performed by Dr Richard Pennington, and I couldn't be more pleased with the results. From the initial consultation to the post-operative care, Dr Richard Pennington and the entire medical team provided exceptional service and expertise.

Richard took the time to thoroughly explain the procedure and patiently answered all of my questions and concerns. Their professionalism and confidence immediately put me at ease, alleviating any anxiety I had about the surgery.

During the surgery itself, Richard demonstrated precision and skill, ensuring the best possible outcome. The procedure went smoothly, and I experienced minimal discomfort afterwards. I have since been playing in full contact sport and have had zero implications thankfully.

Mr Pennington has operated on both my shoulders. I went back for my second capsular release, this time on my other shoulder in July this year because the difference the procedure made to my quality of life after he operated in 2020 was beyond significant. Mr Pennington was professional and very upfront about my options. The hospitals he uses were excellent, my most recent experience at Epworth Eastern was fantastic. Very caring nurses and support staff throughout my stay. Mr Pennington’s staff have also been excellent. I have no hesitation in recommending him.
