The Sushi in this unassuming strip shop in Camberwell is absolutely fantastic!! Hands down, the best I’ve had in Melbourne, so fresh! I’ve had it numerous times, and it’s always up to muster. There is also a small Japanese supermarket attached with lots to try.

Great old neighbourhood spot that has a fantastic, reliably good and well priced sushi takeaway. One of the best in Melbourne - always tastes super fresh. Also generous portions of fish.

Great place to order a sushi platter as well for your picnics and birthdays.

Stop by for Japanese groceries too. They have a great selection, including frozen dishes (takoyaki, unagi, tempura, croquettes), alcohol, seasoning etc.

Japanese grocery store with takeaway sushi attached. Always come for the the sushi. Order and sushi is prepared fresh. Amazing quality for the price. All the sashimi were beautifully fresh. Surprised about the mochi desserts which were absolutely amazing and should not be missed. Always grab a platter when in the area!

There has been a long tradition in my school to order sushi from here. This Japanese grocery store and their sister store in Fitzroy produce some of the best sushi I've had in Melbourne for many years. Today was no different.

Easily one of the best Japanese grocery stores in Melbourne! All staff member are super friendly and helpful. Their sushi is made freshly in store and their sashimi is extremely fresh! Sushi and sashimi are of superior quality than restaurants! They also stock a wide range of pantry goods and authentic Japanese snacks. Also love their sake collection

Best of the best sushi, fresh nigiri and don in Melbourne. AUTHENTIC sushi and Japanese meal with reasonable price. Unfortunately take away only but still good quality of food even eat at home.
Big, thicken and double pieces of fish on top of good size of real favour sushi rice. Come with good soy sauce (not simple plastic fish one), delicious pink pickles ginger. Nothing to complain

Excellent prices and very helpful and friendly staff. They have a variety of products and a cute little sushi bar too. Very reasonably priced for the sizes of fish in the sushis and nigiris.

The best Japanese takeaway and grocery store. Everything is so fresh, there’s plenty of choice, and the staff are so welcoming and helpful. I particularly love the range of Japanese rice, Japanese condiments and sauces, and the fresh daifuku and mochi (I think they make it every now and then).

I am so glad I discovered Suzuran! This Japanese grocery is a hidden gem that offers incredible selection of fresh sushi and sashimi. The quality of the fish is outstanding and you can taste the difference every bite.

In addition to the sushi and sashimi, the ship also has a great selection of Japanese snacks, drinks and other grocery items.

A small hidden convenient store with a sushi bar in outer skirts of Camberwell shopping district.

If you love yourself and care about some actually good quality sushi/sashimi then you come here without having to wait in line or book for a high end seat at a known Japanese restaurant then this is the place.

I recommend ordering online on their website to skip the wait as they make it fresh to order.

Prices for the Japanese products are also very reasonable as compared to most places but more so on the inner eastern side of Melbourne.

I dare to say, THE BEST Sushi in Melbourne to take home! Great Value and quality!

A Japanese grocery store that also hosts a sushi/sashimi bar serving some of the freshest raw seafood that you can get in melbourne. They have so many different varieties to choose from. Best to preorder by phone or online before you drop in to pickup your food. Otherwise be prepared to wait, or you can always shop around in the store while waiting

I have been visiting Suzuran for more than 3 decades and they are still there for a good reason. They have a great range of Japanese grocery and best of all is the sushi bar which makes others dull. Having lived in Tokyo for 2+ years, I am very picky with Sushi, Suzuran’s take away sushi range keeps me happy while in Melbourne.

Love love love this place. Small grocery store with good selection of Japanese products. Love their fresh salads and sashimi slabs also their dessert selections. Their staffs are lovely and so helpful. I also love their sushi bar. I've ordered from them numerous times and love how fresh their sushi is. All made on the spot at a reasonable time. I ordered a mix of nigiris for my birthday during lockdown. It definitely made my birthday more special. If you haven't been, definitely drop by for a visit

So super fresh and yummy sushi and sashimi! The grocery store is smallish and don’t have a huge variety but what it got is good. On a sunny day you can buy sushi and take it to the park around the corner for a picnic.

Excellent little Japanese supermarket and takeaway sushi bar in one. Great selection, including large pieces of sashimi grade fish that you can slice yourself. Great prices for takeaway sushi, nigiri and sashimi.

The sashimi serves here are super fresh and well treated, and you can certainly taste the care they take in each mouthful. And for the amount of fresh seafood you get for the price you can not go wrong. If I had to nitpick it would be that I wish the wasabi had a bit more of a kick. A tip though is that they slice their sashimi on the spot so order ahead via the phone and do a pick up. There’s a line out the door but the staff are friendly and the wait is certainly worth it!

So much has already been said about the quality of Suzuran’s productions that there really isn’t anything more to add! I ordered their sushi platter which was so fresh and beautiful to look at, that it was such a shame it had to go straight into my stomach...but it happened anyway! Long live Suzuran!

My favourite Japanese supermarket and sushi shop in one. Very helpful Japanese staff, good selection of items and the price is reasonable for grocery products. The sushi is well worth the money with good size serving of fish.. I look forward to every visit.
