We purchased a sofa from Modern Times' new brand Permanent Future In June 21. We're so thrilled with the customer service from the team in store to the folks who delivered and assembled the sofa. Jeff was prompt with responses and helpful in answering any questions we had. The sofa itself is beautiful - we've had it for 6 months now and we love it just as much if not more. So good was my experience with this company that I was quite shocked to read a couple of very negative reviews.

To assist other buyers, I offer the following insight. The showroom is located on busy Smith Street with no designated parking outside & no service lane. To reduce the risk of injury/damage, the showroom staff are not allowed to lift large items e.g. furniture. If the buyer wants to 'cash & carry' their purchase, then that expectation is unrealistic. Instead, delivery is arranged to ensure that the item arrives safely, and it's well worth waiting those extra few days that it takes for the item to be delivered.

Don't be put off by the negative reviews. Go along to the showroom & see the fabulous goodies on offer. It's a wonderful experience. Thank you!

The staff are knowledgable and friendly. If you're looking for something with a simple design aesthetic but has some 'punch' you'll more than likely find what you're after here
