Ess Gateway Village

Definitely one of the better accommodation villages in Port Hedland. I really enjoyed my stay here! Nice size rooms and great selection of food in the dining room.
Modern and clean.

Best kept and cleaned rooms I've ever had in a camp.
Pretty happy staff, too, which makes it a pleasant stay.

A lot more than to be expected from a remote work camp.
The food is well prepared, fresh and healthy, with good variety
The rooms are adequate enough with cable tv channels for the two hours you are awake in the room.
Rooms and building reasonably new and well appointed with great black out blinds, table/desk and chair, good size tv
Shower a decent size.
Laundry has enough machines to cater for the camp.
Most importantly, the sound proofing is exceptional. Even with the mandatory door slammers that have no consideration of others, seem to ever exist! :D

Great camp! 10G free wifi for everyone, printing and scanning services available at reception, rooms are cleaned regularly, the meals are great! Crib is average, parking on site after 5 can be troublesome but overall a great camp.

I have stayed in many camp accommodations over my time and this is how they all should be like. Good sized rooms with plenty of TV channels to choose from, clean and friendly environment. The bar is huge and the gym is very modern. There is nothing wrong with the food.
I think the big mining companies could base there new camps on this one as it feels more like a holiday than a boring mining camp imo.

The camp itself is by far the most best camp I've ever been to compared to other mine sites. The rooms are not portable containers. They are actual real buildings. The rooms feel like a mini apartment. Very good quality rooms. Has a nice cosy home room feeling. The food is just above average. The steak meats are good quality. The variety of food is abit boring. Needs more variety and less repeats.

stay here for work in one of the larger rooms. love having a little home away from home never one issue with servicing or cleaning of rooms and the food is usually great probably one of the best camps I've stayed at. also the app that has been introduced makes it even easier and better to stay.

Rooms are excellant, clean and like a mini appartment. All the services are there laundry ect. Food comes and goes and a bit hit and miss as weather its going to be any good generally ok though. For a fifo camp, its excellant

i’m looking for a certain brand or oriental noodles in the mess but i cant seem to find them. if anyone can post a photo of the noodles or the name i’ll be more than grateful

The price was excellent breakfast lunch and dinner and also washing machines all included and very tidy throughout .I highly recommend it

Used mainly for fifo workers, and the local police department, but has an awesome mess hall with a huge range of different kinds of food from all over the world.
