Hooked Up Fishing Adventures

Had a great day with Alistair! Fast boat, experienced captain, good banter, plenty of reef fish and perfect weather on a top day out!! Sometimes a good catch is just the icing on the cake. This was much better than the big boats with a dozen or more people tangling with each other. Thoroughly recommend Hooked Up.

Alister is an amazing host, it was like fishing with a good mate who wants to look after you. The haul we got was epic, big Spanish Mackerel, Japanese Spotted Mackerel, a Red Emperor, Coral Trout, Nannygai and heaps of little stuff we put back. I honestly couldn't have imagined a better fishing day out, one for the ages and made a special holiday magical.

What a fantastic day we had today. Alistair was a great skipper and host. We travelled to many fishing areas so that our lines were kept busy. Alistair made sure that everyone was sorted with the right baits and fishing gear. Our esky was full and we had a great day. We couldn't recommend Hooked Up more highly.

Alister is one of those gems you find every now and then, who takes a simple experience that you can find in any number of places and makes it extraordinary. In addition to having a local knowledge of the area and its reefs and systems that can only be learned from a lifetime on the water, Alister is also one of Australia's raconteur gems!! I've been out fishing with Alister a dozen or so times and I've never come back to shore without a bagful!!! When Alastair couldn’t take us out to the reef, he recommended Rhet, his son take us estuary fishing. Great morning out, good young bloke, very patient. In hooked us from the the mangroves more than once. Would definitely recommend.

Fantastic daytrip to the reef. Kids loved seeing all the fish and amazing coral. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting a more personalised but still affordable way to see the Great Barrier Reef!

You don't need to look any further than a lifetime of local fishing knowledge from Alister and his boys....He has always been super helpful in sharing his wealth of knowledge of all things fishing and also keeps on hand a great range of fishing gear and bait...reef,river or island fishing..they have it all covered..

Had a good day out moderate to good weather and fishing Good fun on the spotted trevally took 1 out of ten I caught very nice to eat.Also caught 2 school makeral,Good laughter and fun with the Skipper and crew would go again
