Eco Village Mission Beach

It has been a while since we visited Eco Village (we used to come quite regularly with our kids) and it was great to see it again! This time we had four couples and we were accommodated in units next to each other. The facilities were still in great condition and service as good as ever.

It was a shame that the restaurant was closed, but that suited us fine, as we used the space to run our murder mystery event!

It is the location and grounds that make this place so good though. The path straight to the beach is fantastic. Then it is a 1.2km walk to some great restaurants and bars!

Such a gem. Just a little out of town, so quite. But close enough to restaurants bars and stores. Beautiful gardens and native forest around the village. Lots of birds, goannas, skinks and other animals. Saw a cassowary down the road, awesome!

Beautifully maintained small tropical beachside resort, with lovely pool. Very peaceful and relaxing just 15 leisurely minute walk along the beach to the village which boasts a choice of casual dining options. Several coastal walks directly from your comfortable clean self contained villa. Lots of activities and a beautiful area to be enjoyed close by.

We had a wonderful time over here in this small bungalow park. Staff is friendly and the location is superb. It gives you this typical tropical feel as the set up is stunning. It felt like being in Bali, except the bungalows are basic. Basic, but clean and spacious though.

The swimming pool is gorgeous and we loved it. We recommend staying here.

Very relaxing accommodation in paradise. 1.5km walk to the main street in town along the beach and through rainforest.
Lovely service, comfortable rooms, nice little lagoon pool and most importantly right on the beach.

From the moment you arrive you feel very welcomed and looked after, staff are good at attending to your needs and have a happy relaxed vibe. I viewed a few rooms before deciding on the king double with a spa which is self contained.
All rooms were neat and tidy and clean when i inspected them before choosing.
The surrounds are peaceful and worth your time if your looking for a place to relax.

Highly recommended. I stayed for 5 nights in a rainforest view self contained bungalow. I extended my stay by 3 extra nights, having booked direct on their own website this was easy done. The accommodation was very secluded and private. The surrounding gardens are lovely and maintained daily. The pool is beautiful and large with crystal clear water. The pool temperature was a little warm but still lovely to swim in. The room was very clean. With a short walk of just over 1km to town centre the Village is pretty well located.

Great little resort. Pool was lovely as was the nearby beach. Sadly didn't see any cassowaries.

This is our second time to the eco village, we can highly recommend the rainforest and ocean view rooms, very private and open and airy all at the same time, beach access is at your front door. The design of the rooms is complementary to the vegetation and surrounds. No doubt we’ll be back again

Without sounding like a sob, I was a little disappointed that The fancier looking resorts were sold out. But now I'm glad they were. This place is absolutely beautiful and serine. The rooms are fantastic and modern and clean and the owners are absolutely lovely. This is the best place I stayed so far on my trip. Even had a mini bar which seems to be gone from most places. I would absolutely recommend this place. Stunning.

This resort has a very relaxed vibe. The beautiful gardens provide screening between the buildings. We only stayed for a 2 night visit & only had time for one swim in the pool, which we had to ourselves. There are tracks leading down to the beach & a rocky Cove, we were the only ones there... very peaceful. It's a short, 10 minute walk along the beach or track to Mission Beach Village. Opposite the resort is the Cutten Walking Track. Make sure you do this. It's a beautiful walk where the rain forest meets the sea.

It is one of my favourite places to holiday. Shhh! It's an absolute gem, hidden in the rainforest gardens. Can hear and glimpse the ocean from rooms. A 30-second walk to be on the beach, which you will most likely have all to yourself. Comfy beds, BBQ area, gorgeous pool, and the Longhouse space to gather and watch the ocean, play cards, chill out. Love this place!

What a beautiful place to stay. The owners Steve and Trudie were absolutely marvellous and catered to our every need. Their breadth of knowledge on the surrounding area and the flora and fauna was impressive. Sue was a friendly face that popped in and around like little fairy tending to the gardens and the cleaning.
To any locals that are thinking of spending their holidays locally I cannot recommend this beautiful sanctuary enough, quiet peaceful and totally relaxing. Thanks folks we had a great time.

The accommodations are spacious, clean and comfortable, and the staff are friendly and welcoming.

One of the best things about Eco Village is the abundance of wildlife. I woke up every morning to the sounds of birds and saw plenty of other native animals on my walks around the property. It was an amazing experience to be surrounded by nature in such a beautiful setting.

I loved that it's located near so many activities. We hiked up Bicton Hill and saw breathtaking views of the ocean and the surrounding area. We also saw wild cassowaries at Etty Bay which was amazing!

I highly recommend staying at the Eco Village if you're looking for an authentic rainforest experience. It's the perfect base to explore the region's natural beauty, with all the modern comforts you need for a great night sleep.

Fabulous place to stay if visiting Mission Beach. Owners are very welcoming. Well located, a short distance away from main dining precinct. Property is well maintained, has great pool and in a few steps you're on the beach. If rest, relaxation and unwinding is your thing then you'll enjoy this location and village. There are many great beaches to explore in the Mission beach area. We loved it and will definitely be back. Highly recommended.

We loved staying at the Eco Village! The staff at reception were more than accommodating and helped us with navigating Mission Beach. They supply umbrellas which is great when it's raining. Would 100% recommend staying here.

Beautiful location spacious rooms and a quiet little private deck.

We loved our stay there. So clean and quiet. Literally on the beach. Again it is sooooo clean, even the blankets are individually wrapped in sealed bags.
The only negative thing is that the pool was a bit dirty, and our bubble bath didn’t work properly… but we could still enjoy a bath during the rainy winter week.

Nice set of bungalows tucked away from the main strip. Rooms were clean and air conditioned, pool and coin laundry are on site, and quick access to the beach.

There is a nice walk from the accommodation via the Ulysses Link walking track to the main strip - about a 15-20 min walk under shade .
