I usually only shop at Cole's or Woolworths Supermarkets because I live in a Capital City (Brisbane, Queensland) where they dominate the marketplace when it comes to grocery shopping and because they're the Biggest you'd think that'd make them the cheapest when compared to the smaller players like IGA, Foodworks, etc but I have recently travelled throughout Queensland from south to north on the east coast as well as the far western outback (rural, remote and regional Qld, from north to South) where I visited a large number of towns and cities in our beautiful State. The entire east coast starting in the South and finishing in the far North, then through, the interior/western regions inland, this time starting in the North and finishing in the South. V and way outback- north to south and the very far western outback areassmall to medium and large towns/cities in rural, remote, regional towns/communities as well as larger places (towns/cities) all over Queensland (from the far north (Mostly coastal) to the wonderful Queensland western outback, from the top end (from the top of Qld "colloquially known Throughout my travels I visited/stayed a while in many of Queenslands (rural, remote, regional, etc ) towns and cities. Throughout my travels and the places I visited I made a point of shopping at as many places as I could (for food/groceries, souvenirs, clothes, eating out, etc) and I was regularly, if not always pleasantly surprised by the cost of many of the items on my list were "at IGA Supermarkets" either comparable and in some cases cheaper than they were/are when shopping at the bigger Supermarket chains (mostly Coles and Woolworths). Not only this but the friendly staff, customers service and variety of items available simply "SHOCKED ME": not only were they good value for money/on par with the bigger Supermarket chains/Multinationals, and I felt like I was being helped/assisted in a "best ever customer service/staff couldn't be faulted in any way, and in many cases staff went out of their way to help me (from being escorted to an aisle/shelf where my product of choice was, then to the checkout I went where I was greeted as though I was a regular customer and treated as though I was part of the family (so to speak). I think I've said enough to give you an idea of just how good it is to shop at Cornetts IGA Supermarkets, whilst they seem to be only/mostly in rural/remote/regional towns and cities across Qld, I'm in the process of trying to find other IGA Supermarkets in my hometown of Brisbane as we speak and I'm ever hopeful that I'll locate a store/IGA Supermarket as I would prefer to give them my grocery shopping business when compared to the big city Supermarket chains of Coles and Woolworths. To sum up: Firstly, my IGA shopping experience has converted me from the big guys to the smaller and independent guys or. IGA. Secondly, I recommend to any and all of you grocery shoppers out there to try shopping at your local Cornetts IGA Supermarket wherever you may live and shop, you'll be pleasantly surprised just like I was. One last word: Thank you to the team/s at Cornetts IGA, I applaud your efforts and the shopping experience for a customer that you've created, well done to one and all. Cheers and keep up the good work.
