Great products and the absolutely best customer service.
Staff are friendly, helpful and knowledgeable, and best of all, they are the same people every time I come in, so they now know me, know my project, and can offer the best advice at the various stages of the renovation I am working on.
I've really been enjoying the products too, and the colours I have chosen work brilliantly in the space I am painting.
I definitely recommend Haymes in O'Connor very highly.

We have used Haymes in the past for house painting and the coverage was fantastic. Two years on, the house still looks newly painted and scuff marks are very easy to clean. We went out of our way to go with Haymes again this time despite having other brands readily available nearby. Peter was so accommodating with our questions and he provided experience-based advices. Kas, the colour specialist, was extremely knowledgeable with “what colour works” which is vital to turning a house a home. Outstanding customer service. I built 12 months ago and my builder had another "top" brand of paint they offered discounts for, however reading up on Haymes' paint I decided I'd rather spend the extra few hundred dollars to get the best. So glad I did. I was served by Peter, who couldn't have been more helpful and accommodating. In the current boom I figure there are certain things I can do myself to save some $$, painting being one of them. As cliche as it is, I've been met with sexism from male "customer service" reps at other stores typically frequented by men (hardware / tool stores etc.) which has been beyond frustrating. Even they had to start somewhere. I had quite a few questions and Peter happily and patiently answered all of them, and threw in a few extra, really helpful tips - he is a human encyclopaedia. Another lady at the store also helped me with colours, who again was absolutely lovely. I'd highly recommend this store - this kind of customer service is rare in general, but particularly as a beginner DIY'er (and a lady one at that), I really appreciated the respect, patience and friendly demeanour shown by Peter and the staff at Haymes O'Connor.

I've been here three times in the last week for house painting supplies. All three times I received outstanding service - expert advice from friendly and personable staff.( I spoke to both Peters and one other person ). Also this shop carries a comprehensive range of painting products - house painting and I believe automotive as well. ( I'll also give a plug for the Haymes house paints - I am a novice painter and had great results with the interior paint I bought - it went on easily and the coverage and finish were awesome, and it was also competitively priced ). If you want an alternative to the Bunning's business model but most importantly you want personal and competent painting advice, try this place.

Super helpful staff

I had a colour match of acrylic lacquer made which was remarkably similar (exactly the same as) to the swatch i provided - the older guy that did the match was very helpful with application tips etc also.

Can't believe how much money I spent with these guys on their "premium" product and when I start having problems with the paint they don't even bother replying, and just FYI I painted my whole interior new house with this product.

Would never recommend Haymes after this experience, unbelievable.
