Tonic Restaurant

We came here whilst on holiday from
New Zealand. We were celebrating two of our birthdays. We had Sunday lunch at Tonic. It was absolutely delightful. All courses were beautifully balanced. The duck lasagne was the highlight. You never quite know what you will get with set menus but each course was delicious. We had a vegetarian in our party and they were catered for just as well. Lovely atmosphere and attentive staff.

This was our second visit to this outstanding restaurant in beautiful Milthorpe. On both occasions the 5 course degustation dinner containing local produce has been exceptional. At $90 per head the meal provides great value for money and sufficient food to ensure one does not leave hungry. Service and wine list are also brilliant.

A lovely space, just perfect service, and an inspired menu which rolls with the seasons.
You're here for Tony Worland's food, and he and his staff are here to make sure you leave satisfied and happy. They do this so well so that I'll keep coming back.

In the heart of the historic town of Millthorpe you’ll find Tonic. Undoubtedly one of the best regional restaurants in NSW. Definitely on par with Selkirk’s when it was around. Our only minor gripe was we had to ask for our wine to be topped up on a couple of occasions; other than that, superb. We’re regular visitors to the Orange district; if you haven’t visited, it’s a foodies paradise. Make sure you visit this gem if you’re in the area, you definitely won’t regret it.

The place that packs an absolute punch in terms of food flavour, presentation and taste! Staff are incredible with impeccable service, the wine list is great and I cannot praise the food highly enough. Definitely a must visit if you are anywhere near Orange, you will be treated to incredible fine dining like it used to be in the good old days!

Had the 5 course lunch with wine pairings. The food was fabulous, the main a little big but every other portion size was great, the wine chosen was phenomenal and really complimented all of the 5 courses. Very impressed.

Tonic Restaurant is our go-to for a special occasion. The 5 course set menu is never disappointing, and adding the suggested wines for each course makes for a very long, enjoyable lunch.

Millthorpe is a lovely town. Service at Tonic is excellent. The restaurant itself is beautifully done. Food was great, just the fish was a bit salty. We will definitely be going again.

Beautiful restaurant in a quiet quaint town. 5 course with matching wines - delicious meal. They accommodated to our allergies/dietary requirement. Highly recommend, will return!

We had THE most delicious dinner! Each course was cooked and presented to perfection. With prior notice, the chef was able to provide us with an amazing vegan meal. The ambience was warm and the staff attentive too. Highly recommended!

Superb 5 course menu. Delightful matching wines. Many local wines. Staying overnight in Milthorpe, treat yourself and partner to this outstanding restaurant. All staff were fabulous. Special mention to Holly for her attention to detail and bubbly Outlook. Plenty of room for current regulations.

Absolutely amazing place even had a nice happy anniversary written on our plates for a dessert highly recommend the place.

Absolutely 💯 dinner was 6 small courses but more than enough at the end of the evening. Each course was beautifully presented and tasted out of this world. We have been coming to Tonic since it opened 19years and it is yet to let us down . Fun night with good friends.

Had a superb Sunday lunch - 5 course set menu, each dish was excellent. I wasn't drinking but the wine list is very impressive. If you are in the area this is well worth the short trip from Bathurst or Orange, the village itself is very picturesque and this restaurant is highly recommended.

Having 5 courses ; Pumpkin veloute served in a classic China tea cup & saucer, Blue eye cod accompanied with spiced lentils & eggplant, Mandagery creek venison ravioli & beetroot, chicken breast accompanied with chickpea & cauliflower and to finish off with the most delicate Erindale orange souffle` Exquisite.

Great restaurant. Loved every course. Was a little chilly on a rainy day, but literally my only complaint. Would definitely return and recommend.

We had a delicious dinner for 15 on a Saturday night. The service was relaxed and attentive and the food and wine were excellent. It was my favourite meal of the weekend. Loved it.

The five courses were all delicious, beautifully cooked and attractively served. The duck and the beef were cooked to perfection. We found the service was excellent and lovely local wines. Attractive seating and we had a table looking out onto the pretty town of Millthorpe at night.
