What an amazing course this is! Worth the drive out here for 9 holes. Great fairways & true greens this plays better than many courses in the city

What a hidden gem this is. Set in beautiful undulating to hilly country this 9 hole course is really well laid out with a number of holes crossing the currently dry river. The fairways are grassed and really nice for a country course. The greens are quite big and really true. They're hard but will accept a well hit shot. There's some challenges here but it's a really playable course which rewards good play. The clubhouse sits on top of a hill overlooking the course and has bar facilities and meals some nights of the week. Green fees are payable online so you can go anytime even if the clubhouse isn't open and at $25 for 18 holes it's great value. There's an added bonus for travellers as you can free camp here and use the toilets at the club, although it's a bit of a walk up the hill, so better to be self contained.

Terrific golf course 9 holes, 2 tees. Excellent irrigated wide grassy fairways and greens. I've been travelling outback Qld for 6 months and it was a pleasure to finally play at a quality place. Rivals any city course and better than some, for $20. Same as the soft sandy fairways of St Michaels that costs $90. Credit to staff.

Much like the West Course at Royal Melbourne, Murgon makes you think about the best place for your shot to go, rather than just smashing it as far as possible.
