Living Gourmet Cafe

I have been a regular customer at this restaurant since the new owners took over, and I've witnessed the incredible transformation it has undergone after the renovation. The old, worn-out cafe now radiates with new life, thanks to the impressive changes made by the owners.

Before the renovation, the cafe had a tired and outdated ambiance. However, the new owners have done an exceptional job in revamping the place. The interior now boasts a modern and inviting atmosphere that is both comfortable and pleasing to the eye. The renovation has truly breathed new life into this once-old-looking cafe.

Of course, no renovation comes without its challenges. I’ve read another review where the customer was unhappy with the noise level after the renovation.

In my opinion, it's unrealistic to expect every customer to be 100% comfortable with the sound in any cafe or restaurant. The vibrant energy and lively conversations that accompany this new chapter of the cafe are part of what makes it special. It's a testament to the success of the renovation and the welcoming environment that the owners have created.

I would be remiss not to mention the positive changes that have been made to the menu since the renovation. The menu has truly been elevated to new heights.

The service provided by the staff deserves special recognition. The team is attentive, friendly, and always willing to go the extra mile.

The transformation this cafe has undergone since the new owners took over and the subsequent renovation is nothing short of remarkable. Despite the minor challenge of noise, which is common in any popular establishment, the overall experience is well worth it. I highly recommend giving this cafe a visit and indulging in the wonderful changes that have taken place.

A huge thanks to the Living Gourmet Cafe team! We stopped in for a gluten free lunch after being on the road all morning and came 30mins before closing. The team provided two excellent lunch options with fresh salad. The chicken and mushroom crepes were amazing! Very grateful for their flexibility and hospitality. Would highly recommend for gluten free savoury and sweet treats.

This Visit was one of my regular Sunday Visits..
Friendly staff, as usual, great coffee, relaxed atmosphere, my preference outside ,(depending on weather,) food to die for, plenty of parking.

I had a bacon and egg Roll, it was ‘packed’ fresh, hot, with everything, and I can honestly say, it was ‘the best’ Bacon and Egg Roll that I have had on the Central Coast yet.
The thing that topped it off, was the Bread, which holds it all together, and the way the egg was cooked, not too runny, (they usually run everywhere when you take the first bite) and ‘really’ flavoursome..
My plate had no mess all over it when I finished it, (no serviette required) I even contemplated another one, it was sooo good.
But, couldn’t fit another one in..😂
Will keep it for next time.
The Coffee was ‘hot’ and was just the best, as you can see by the photos, the Barista spent time ‘decorating the tops’
This is my/our Favourite Place to visit for Breakfast..
As I said previously, the friendly Staff, really makes my day, as they always do..
I just thought that these People ‘deserve’ a good wrap, because they just ‘do’ put that ‘extra’ effort in, and these days I think people don’t take the time to mention the ‘extra’ time and effort that people put in to make your Visit ‘special’ to you!

Continued great value on the coast in a cosy, tucked away cafe that offers an expansive and well prepared menu that is keenly priced maintaining the light/half serving options that set Living Gourmet apart from the rest. A few challenges since the reno I can see noted in reviews in terms of noise but Greg and the team have a plan with some noise of course testament to the continued popularity of a lovely cafe that has created quite a niche for itself in a bland set of alternate options. My recommendation?: Pancakes of course, superbly cooked with fresh fruit, maple syrup and cinnamon butter to die for. Add their fabulous Seven Miles coffee and you are set, yummo !!!.

Went there this morning and the service from the young gentleman with short brown hair waitressing outside was nothing short of outstanding, our daughter had dropped her juice and he was quick to help clean it up and made our situation less stressful this young guy is an absolute asset and we will be coming back because of this service.

From the moment of walking in through to the food, drinks and service it was exceptional. For a Cafe it is well laid out, very quick and attentive staff even when busy. The food came out way quicker than expected and looked very well presented and tasted even better. Compliments to the chef on the tomato relish, it is the best tasting relish I have ever had! The mango smoothies are a must! Chilled table water glasses are a nice touch and doesn't go un noticed. For the price of the food and drinks it is a very reasonable and I would say cheap feed for such good quality and quantity.
Just wanted to also say the energy from the staff, all smiling, happy to help customers, having a laugh, it's good too see such an energetic workplace!

I believe it's the owner, if not the manager, who is a lovely lady who had tables reserved for a group of older people, saw that some of them had new smart phones and stopped and took the time to talk to them about it and gave them helpful tips. Going the extra mile to help anyone! It was fantastic to see :)

Living Gourmet has to be one of the best Cafe/Coffee shops on the Central Coast! The service is outstanding, as is the food. My wife & I have taken my 92 year old Mother here a few times in the past couple of months, and it's been consistently good.
The coffee is really nice, they have a great choice of both lite snacks and full meals, also a specials board. So far, we have had no complaints about the food or the service, the staff are friendly and well trained, this place is now one of our "go to" places on the Coast.

A hidden treasure in a sea of overly trendy hipster cafes. This place is fantastic, you feel very comfortable just being normal here. No need to pretend your fancy or whatever. Food is great, service is on point and the price is very fair. Can’t recommend this place enough.

Five stars, it does not get any better than this. Great food and cakes. If the outside was more shlted from the wind, I would have given Atmosphere 5 stars as well.

This is a wonderful place to have a relaxing brunch on the weekend! The dishes have a homey rather than a commercial taste which I enjoy very much and is unique, and the ingredients are fresh. The setting is cosy and the staff are pleasant. It's a lovely dinning experience.

Fast, friendly service at a reasonable price. I highly recommend trying them out as they have their own shakes and the food is delicious!

Food wasn't to bad size of servings has dropped. Service was alright but felt rushed at the end with waiters cleaning whilst still finishing. Notable there has been change of ownership.

I was just part of 10 people without reservation that walked up to the door had a wonderful feed the food was excellent and one of the best coffees I’ve ever had. I’m a rep on the road you get to know what’s good. Well done , I highly recommend this location and friendly staff. 👍 for a great feed.

I have been to plenty of cafes all around Australia, but none of them compare to Living Gourmet Cafe when it comes to friendly service, brilliant coffee and amazing food.
Living Gourmet is warm and friendly, from the moment you step in and see smiling faces and a cabinet full of treats made fresh in house, you know you’re in a family run business.

Local businesses have faced so much hardship over the past few years, so knowing that there are employees from tech giant Google making fake accounts to shame this wonderful business is heartbreaking and disgusting.
Oh- shaming them for what you ask? Well- asking them to leave as they were consuming food from another business on their tables. Perfectly reasonable don’t you think? It’s a policy most cafes employ.

If you’re new to the area, or looking for a new place to try- give Living Gourmet a go.
You will not be disappointed!

We can highly recommend Living Gourmet Cafe. It is our go-to Cafe. The staff are all friendly and accommodating. The display cabinet is filled with tempting treats which are perfect accompaniments to go with always great coffee. They also have a comprehensive and varied menu with a good variety of gluten-free options. Their attention to cleanliness and good hygiene practices is also appreciated. Definitely worth a visit.
